I'd easily post him as an early crosser.
His vision for crosses, both early and by-line, is sublime.

What about giving him Side: B? Even though it's not his most prefered postion to play on the right of midfield, he often switches sides with Ashley Young during games and played in that position at times for Middlesbrough.

Is Downing really 1 point slower than Saha, Etherington, Malbranque and Gerrard? It surprises me to see him as such. It surprises me even more when you take into account the ACC stat for each player, only Saha (84) is lower than Downing, just doesn't make sense to me having watched him over the years for England, Middlesborough and occasionally at Villa, has he had bad injuries or something?

Gerrard needs an update so I woudln't take his stats too seriously (I know I don't anyway), But Downing does need an increase in his speed. Dribble Speed especially

He's been top notch this year, how about we update Gerrard's stats with L4eva's stats?

Him and Albrighton deserve to be in the England squad over Young and Agbonlahor to be honest. And I'd have to go look at 'em, I'm assuming there a few pages back or something..? (Pointless me asking because I'm gonna have found them by the time you read this:roll:)

He's come back into a good run of form of late, showing his shooting ability again on either foot and he's shown he's far more worthy of an 84 for SP than an 82, not only is he striking it hard, but its struck cleanly as well with both venom and intent rather than either or. One thing that I've noted is that his work rate has definitely improved, he's working for the team and tracking back a fair bit too, more than a 76 would state.

Finally! Someone else has mentioned the ability he has with his right foot! I've been going on about since the old site when he was at Boro still! Agree with Shot Power and a general raise in his shooting stats along with the raise in speed which has been mentioned in a few threads this season

If I were to raise his speed I'd only raise it by one, I'm a bit apprehensive about him being overrated with anything over 85 for TS. I wouldn't see him being all that much faster, or even faster than David Silva or Tevez or even being on par with Adam Johnson, Kalou or Ben Arfa.

I think it's Dribble Speed that should see a raise personally

Maybe an 87? It does sound pretty high, but if you look at it, he'd still be towards the lower end of those on an 87 in Dribble speed because of his actual speed stats..

Well, I've already updated his Shooting stats and his Weak foot stats
So I guess to summarise, we're raising Dribble Speed to 87 and keeping the Speed Stats as they are? Or would you rather change them?

Best to wait and see if anyone agrees/disagrees. If the 'Users browsing this forum:' is anything to go by, then there's bound to be some opinions flying about sooner or later
