Gugu wrote:Well he's certainly level van der Vaart, in tight spaces Formica's touches on the ball to retain possession are really effective. He seems comparable to Benayoun here, and he looks much better on the ladders above the likes of Arshavin etc. Plus, with his small frame + BB, in-game he's easily dispossessed whilst in the Prem he's shown to use his intelligent use of the ball to avoid players' challenges and I think a higher DA makes him balanced with his low strength.

He deserves Trickster imo because his play on the ball is mostly pure technique through the center with a slight tendency of holding up the ball (with his DA) to bring players forward for the pass (Kind on a *Tactical Dribble conversion). His dribbling game isn't reliant on speed at all.

The English game is more physical than almost any other league in the world, I know Mauro's weak and he suffers a lot of fouls (9 fouls suffered in 6 Prem games is a lot), but playing with Blackburn I found it was unrealistic when playing against other Premiership teams he'd get knocked around a lot, sometimes players playing in the Premier League who can't acclimatise to the strength of the league might rely on their technical attributes more, it's happened to David Silva, Sessegnon, Mata and I feel it's happening to Formica too. I know I've never watched him at Argentina but what VUKDS suggested seemed very reasonable and so I updated him ;)

It what I was expecting, an awesome answer from you as always Gugu, understood, thanks for the reply :D
I'm really happy because of his well performances in IMO the best league in the world. Since his first match in Newell's he was a different player, and I was watching these videos which shows his skills in Newell's, if you have a bit of time please watch it...

Look at this dribble vs River in Monumental stadium, really impressive in little space:

And he's a really nice free-kicker also, I hope that he could show it in EPL soon:

Maybe higher AGI for one point and Condition to 6?
He's so agile player, his current stat is low for him,87 would be too high, but 86 is ideal. He's regular starter in Blackburn and he's in great form.

Is he not a bit faster ? BTW should be moved to Cruz Azul , he arrived to Mexico to sign for Cruz Azul as some serious sources says he is a new Cruz Azul player already.

Here a video where he confirms he will sign :

He played really well today vs Atl Tucuman, being the driver of the team and intelligent to play more calm when Tucuman had more players in defense than newells in counterattacks or when the teams need a quick distributor of the ball, using great greate sps and nice accuracy. His speed off the ball must be lower he is pure ep with nice acceleration in first steps, time from time he shows nice pace on the ball, kinda Lo Celso but not that slow. Have doubts if he is a 3/2 awareness player, looks much more as a 2/1 playing as amf/ss behind of Scocco.

Insane shot, but that was probably the only time that he touched the ball during the game.. a damn ghost.

Since he came back I remember how good he was on the ball, his control in tiny spaces is just amazing, he can avoid lots of players only using his ability.

Mostly i came here to say the same, he is playing like a modern amf - "quick", agile and more concerned on the ball instead of making passes everytime - starting in the center, moving around and using the whole width of the pitch. His ball retention and control in tiny spaces looks amazing every match, he has class and his level is amazing. Great great his comeback of those injuries in 2015.

Didnt expected his level tbh yeah could be out of shape and whatever but technically he is rreat great and being really consistent in what he is doing. His passing ability as well as his shooting is great has a great range and good power in his right foot, he takes the team at his back and is the only who can create some football in this team, with fertoli, torres or amoroso near of him could be good for Newells. Really nice to see again here in AFA.

He can do great things on the ball really useful playing on the sides or carrying the team in the center as how he is doing in the last time, he lost soem pace but his dribbling aand passing are amazing to watch. With Maxi could work together and being dangerous, if the midfield can support the idea of play with almost 4 players in attack that dont defend - formica, figueroa and fydriszewski - can be really great for them.
