His mentality and stamina should be higher, I understand you probably rated it like this because he is young, however I still think he can be higher, particulalrly mentality. He also is better with his left foot, maybe 6/6, but I'm not too sure, I started watching him though due to rave reports on him.

I can't say I agree. He's only above average for using his weak foot. He'd mediocre on his bad foot but he's at least worth 5, if he works on his Chocolate Leg over the summer maybe he could have 6.

As for Stamina and Mentality... I could possibly only see a raise in Mentality, and not even by much maybe by 1 point or so. I'll raise it to 84 for the time being.

Okay then because I thought his left was pretty good and he certainly used it enough to show he was good with it, I also thought of him as being a better long passer(not crosser) but maybe I've just seen him on his 'yellow arrow' days, also isn't he taller than this?

I can't even find a source on his height. I guess I found one a while back, but I doubt that he's too much off it.

Honestly I'd rate his LPA as okay, its not great, he's more of an intricate short passer with a good 1st time pass, he generally plays it short McArthur plays the Long Balls generally. I guess at a push he could be 75 in LPA but, I'm not sure if that would be rating him too highly when he's on a yellow arrow.

I thought he was quite tall(roughly 6'0 - 6'1) but I thought he was quite tall but light-weight but if he is smaler than I thought, you have to raise balance, seriously in game with that height and weight he isn't going to win any physical challenges, I know he isn't exactly a pitbull, but he isn't weaker than say Benayoun, I'd say 75-76 at least.

Paddy, I swear he's stronger than this, against St. Mirren his strength actually looked above average he also looked a lot faster than this, I also agree to your suggestion of 75 LPA.

Height: 180-185(He looks a lot taller I'll try and find some pictures)
Balance: 79/80(You've obviously seen him more but he's probably bulked up a lot since you made the stats, looked around an 85 balance against St. Mirren.
Top Speed: 81(Unsure, but he looked pretty quick)
Acceleration: 82
Header: 74(He's better aerially than you suggest, his defensive headers got a good deal of power)
Jump: 81(Good leap)
Team work: 81(Unsure but he looked like he controls play very well and has o trouble picking out players)

What do you think?

He's about the same height as Barry Robson who's 178

He has gotten stronger, but I'd be more comfortable putting him on a value of 78.

As for TS, he's not fast, but he's got a good burst, I'll raise his ACC to 82.

Hmm, I know he's decent at defensive headers but decent is all. I'll give him 72.

As for leap, considering his height he can get some height but not that much, I'l give him a 77.

As for Teamwork, he's a great team player, always works for the team, but he is selfish at times. I want him to still go by himself and be a bit greedy.

I'd still have header higher, particularly given Hayden Mullins value someone who I'd say he's very similar to aerially. Also about team-work, he is one of the best I've ever seen in this aspect for a 19 year old, I don't think he's selfish and has great vision anything below 80 is very harsh to someone who is so vital to Hamilton and even could be considered *Playmaking?

No, I really don't think he deserves Playmaking.

Maybe Hayden Mullins is overrated? A 74 can still score a lot of goals from corners, while I don't think James will ever do. Sure he's vital to Hamilton, but.... As I've said before he goes off on his own special runs and is a bit greedy, I feel if I give him more than this he still won't play in game as he does in real life.

Well I now he deserves at least 80 from what I've seen of him, you say he goes on his own little runs, I personally haven't seen this in the games I've seen of him, but maybe *dribbling could be considered?

16.00 Hamilton midfielder James McCarthy is in talks with Wolves after the Premier League new boys had a fee accepted by their Scottish counterparts.

He looks like a good prospect (not the guy in the pic ), never seen him before but do you think he'd do well in the Prem if given a chance by Wolves?

I can honestly say I don't think he'll be a great signing. He's good now in the SPL but really, I think the pressure of being at a club with an abundance of already good Centre Midfielders may hamper his growth. He'll be one for the future and I think another season at hamilton would've been terrific for his development.

I guess he's thinking about the world cup though, and a move to the PL won't hamper his chances at all... Although, I think a move to Wolves will certainly be a better one than a move to Celtic.
