Antonio Sastre was absolutely better than Diego Simeone in my opinion, they even aren't in the same spot.

daft_pablo wrote:Also Valdano deserves to be in the reserves... why not him insted of Crespo? what did Crespo for the NT in WC's??

Hernán Crespo had a better club career.

Vickingo wrote:Seriously? C'on, you should know about him if you're commenting in this thread, more if you're trying to replace him.

I agree, to anyone comment something like that he need to know about all the players involved mandatorily.

well Valdano played in RM several years. anyway, i dont think the Club career is that important here. is much more important what the did for the NT. any comments on the other suggestions? its incredible that here Veron ois considered ahead Burruchaga, for example...

Vickingo wrote:How a Classic team can be "too old"?. I'm sorry but it makes no sense what you're trying to change just for being modern players instead of crazy talents in the past, it's totally unfair and lack of real knowledge in the history. If the team is "Argentina All Stars" means to have the whole history of the NT, not just from 78 and 86 till our days.

Thing is people who play PES in 70% (I'm being generous) don't know shit about football, that's why you name those insane players and they don't know. That's totally wrong imo, replace players cause are old, no sense though.

I actually agree with him. Theres so many players from the 1920's in these classic teams. And people just takes others words for them being great. Shit, how much footage can you get of someone in the 1920's? I seriously doubt most people who talk of them, have seen them anywhere near enough to have an accurate opinion on them. Now someone like simeone on the otherhand, he was a fucken beast of a player and I'd easily have him in the first team, and seen him enough to know hes worth it.

Of course, I fully understand players being in there though, and wouldn't suggest removing them out of respect and what not. But the guy certainly has a point. I'm talking strictly of the 1920's though, it becomes easier to find footage from the 30's onwards, still pretty damn hard to find footage for most players in these eras though.

Indeed, but those guys are really known and insane players as Sanfilippo, one of best Argentinian scorers ever and at NT scored 21 goals in 29 matches. Despite not playing a very long time (back then weren't so usual nt matches like today), guy was incredible as he was in San Lorenzo. I just don't agree of replacing him cause the guy doesn't know him--------> replaced by a modern player.

But this: Hernan CRESPO -----> Jorge Valdano (CF) (come on!, scored in a WC Final)
That doesn't make sense at all imo, despite could be debatable if Valdano should be or not to be instead of Crespo.

Or this: i'd put him insted SASTRE, which i dont know.
Sastre was one of best players in the world back then i'd say, one of first polifunctional, great everywhere...despite being 'old' to us, it'd be a huge mistake just replace him cause some users don't know him.

Btw I understand the point now you said, despite not agreeing with all the whole point, I would never quit those legends.

i thought i had already apollogized about not knowinh them, and am not suggesting to remove Sastre, but to add more WC heroes and remove overrated curent players like Crespo, Veron or Riquelme.

anyway, mi instinct say to me that Sanfillipo's choise comes from having a glorious San Lorenzo (one of the great 5) player in the squad. and that reason doesnt seem to be enough for me.

Glavisted: did you see Sastre playing? or just video footage?? is curious to have thet radical oppinion being that young as we are.

also, its imposible for me to have a true oppinion about players like Rossi or Monti. i have to believe on other people words and trust their knowledge. even happens the same to me with Stars like Di Stefano, i always wanted to see him playing on the FW, but only see him in th MF, and in the classic match of the EC Final 1960.

---------

ok, now i see Simeone is on the team. but because jurgens supported my pettition. who was out?

any oppinions about adding Burruchaga, Caniggia and Tarantini? i suppouse Bertoni's petition wont be heared because there is Housemann in the team.

Actually, Jorge Valdano just only played his last 3 seasons of his career for Real Madrid and never reached the average goal ratio of Hernán Crespo in Italy. He played more time for Deportivo Alavés in second division and Real Zaragoza.

This is a very debatable point, in my opinion the club career is equally or more important because the number of games in each career even in this thread. That's also because the reason I agree that Juan Sebastián Verón is better than Jorge Luis Burruchaga despite he was a key player for Argentina in the 1986 World Cup.

I didn't, but as many of the greatest players ever from 30's there is a huge amount of information describing in detail his abilities and recognition in his own era to build a very solid idea of his historical level.

This is an all-star team meant for pes. Here at PSD. where we attempt to accurately recreate players. If you couldn't see the player, you can't rate him properly. So he doesn't play properly in game. So the effort is useless. It's unfortunate that footage isn't available, but it makes no sense to rate blindly.
If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

That would mean that players before the 50's wouldn't be available in PES Stats Database.

So? You can easily get matches of players from the world cup thing they had back in the 20's 30's. An opinion on a player you've never watched is a worthless opinion.

I like current team, seems very real. I'm only can't find a reason for Monti in place of Simeone or Ardiles. He didn't play a lot for Argentinian NT, after this made himself Italian...

There's only 22 players in the first team, I suggest promoting Simeone or Bochini.

Also, does anyone want to help me bring some of these classics up to the new standards? Particularly starters such as Monti, Perfumo and Moreno should be brought to the new standards.
