In terms of creating danger he's definitely 99.

It's not like this one-point increase is going to turn Messi from Walters to Platini. He's already up with the most dangerous of players with 98. Not that I disagree with this; I just don't see the big deal everyone is making out of this single point.

Has anyone else in the database on 99, Gerd muller is if I'm remembering correctly? Messi could easily sit on 99.

Couldn't his TW come down a bit? I feel like he moves a little and mostly waits for the ball and lets other create space for him to exploit with the ball. This season he's been kinda lazy in terms of defensive work and movement.

Sometimes he also gives the impression he is not this agile anymore, or at least doesn't use it so much. But not sure.

Do you think Marca is a trustful newspaper at all, specially when it comes to sports??
Just to make it simple: If someone ever gives me Marca, I'd use it as a tissue/toilet paper.

according to transfermarkt he scored 4 goals from free kicks for Barca this season , 3 in league 1 in supercopa , i also remember he scored 2 for argentina , thats 6 this season , for comparison ronaldo scored 3 for real madrid , dont know how many for portugal ( if any ) , also messi is amazingly accurate , you wont see him hit one to the top row

Empty for 2 days? :o :o :o

What do mods think about the ATT 99 suggestion?, it's mostly cosmetic...

99 In my opinion it is fully deserved. But I think in the game I see a little less agile than normal, perhaps we should revise TS up one or two points and Response more or less the same.

In free throws, I think he is improving a lot and is showing a great accuracy.

About tenacity, not a feature related to the ability to not collapse when the team is losing? I ask because if I'm right, I think Messi is a player who does not give up.

I tend to disagree myself...the fact that he saves Barça now and then is purely due to the fact that he's good, be It injured with depleted stamina or with 55 mentality. In fact, I'd rather check his teammates' mentality values to go lower, none of Barça's players except Puyol, Villa or even Alexis deserve much more than a green value.

Probably is a thing of condition, but I don't feel in this moment he show 99 in DA, 98 in DS and 96 in EP. I have him with 98 in DA, 96 in DS and 95 in EP, I understand he recently get out of a injury also is the end of season, but since before I saw this little down in this area is just my opinion, anyone think the same?

He hasn't consistently been a red value in EP for probably 2 years no idea why he still has it.

I really disagree with a drop in AGI, Messi's immensely agile, he can change direction almost instantly, with or without the ball...

I also disagree with any drop in dribbling stats, just because he has been injured lately, or slightly out of form doesn't mean he's become worse at dribbling...

His explosive change of direction is almost unmatched throughout the world, EP is easily red value.

well, as i said probably is a thing of condition /form, but i totally disagree with you about the relation form/performance obviously there is a relation between the two.

I can't imagine how anyone could propose decreasing it below that.

He must have 96 EP, he has never lost agility.
On the other hand I agree with lowering DS stat, because he isn't as quick as 2 or 3 years ago. He lost a little speed this year. And I think his classic sets need and update.

Don't be, it's fine :) . I also think his ds should get down, to me he is nothing more than 95. As far as I remember he was given 98 ds to compensate 79 ts he had in the past, I didn't agree but there was a logic behind it. Right now, with 82 ts he's just too fast on the ball in-game and has tendency to perform some crazy runs at full speed like he used to IRL... 4 years ago. Nowadays I rarely see him running with he ball more than 15-20 m. He has been relying more on his outsanding control and intellligence than speed. TBH I don't think it's discovering New World. He has been like that since about 2010, 2011. He simply has been changing his style through all this years.

but u can see him make runs on the ball now and then and there is still no difference between his ts and ds. 98 ds feels like him well while running on the ball imo. lowering his ds could make his style more realistic but also take away from him what he actually can do with the ball.
