He is fast aye, but he isn't impressive on the ball, he is a very good header of the ball but that still isn't enough...and he isn't that great of a shooter either, he's alright...yet again, his goalscoring record is superb... There must be something, just as C.Ronaldo scores beyond his true visible posibilities. Imo that ATT may LOOK wrong, but is it that wrong in essence?

I think it's not, because attack is only one stat but people make it out to be like it's the "ultimate stat" for strikers or offensive players in general. Like, if a player has 95 attack but the rest is low greens and another one has 90 attack and the rest is high oranges, people will assume the first one is better and that makes no sense. I'm thinking about someone like Dzeko for example, he's correctly rated as 92 and imho Morata deserves that even though he's inferior to him in everything except speed and heading. He scores a lot, in competitive leagues and in the CL like tonight, and that's what matters at the end of the day.

Maybe it's too early to say that because as weird as it sounds this is the only season he's starting consistenly, but I think it'll be clear by the end of the season or before that.

Attack has much more sense at 86, like his Classic set from 16/17 season. His movements are just too predictable and surely not bordering orange, with 86 he would be already very dangerous, one of the best in the league... it'd be perfect to have morata at 86 and G. Jesus at 84.

I agree, he has done nothing to warrant a value bordering the oranges

Fine I'd bow to the consenus (and watching him last night his movement was very erratic).

One of the best headed goals I've seen in a while.
He had a shitload of space though.

That's what I said.
I just wanted the point out that it's still a very nice header technically speaking.

This set is great for him. He is often in good position, making good runs (ATTACK 86 is good value, maybe it could go to 87, but we should keep eye on that one), but just doesn't score enough with his feet, misses a lot of good chances (SA 84 and ST 82 really justified). Also, we should keep eye on his heading, if he continues like this, HEADER could be near 90. And it seems to me that he actually jumps when needed, more than this 78 value suggests (80?).

Okay i've only just made an account, and i've been a huge stats editor fanatic since 2008.

I'm also a massive of fan of Morata, and these are my stats for him in PES 2018..

Mod edit: No full sets, read the site rules.

He's good at dribbling and has good control when 2-3 defenders are around him, his long shots were brilliant at Madrid (when he was allowed space due to people marking Ronaldo) and he's pulled off a few impressive headers so far at Chelsea. Good jumping for someone of his height, normally gets high up and heads the ball downwards. Long passing is tons better than Lukaku's, and his long shot skill should really allow this stat to go up too.

The dribbling/ball control ratio also allows for him to keep that slightly stiff movement, similar to Ronaldo's.. but still allows him to have a lot of trouble when defenders surround him. I've also put his physical contact down, as he's not been very dominant physically in the Premier League.. he makes up for it in a lot of other areas.

Would like to here some thoughts on him from amine and stu, surely this set could do with some tweaks too.

His current problems are obvious, he's being forced to play far more football than before in his career and looks physically and mentally tired, and that arsenal game really wrecked his confidence in front of goal, I know exactly the feeling, I went through it last year, can be really hard to break out of the negative self belief.

As to the set, making my prediction of orange attack look more and more silly, even my compromise of 86 may be to high, so perhaps down to 84. Stamina to high, he's running himself into the ground every game and really is done after 75/80 mins and so closer to if not on 80.

Balance, maybe down to 83, though I'd prefer 84, he does have strength that he can use but he doesn't like the physical side that much
Shot accuracy, revert it to what ever value he had at real, mistake to raise it, he isn't a good finisher, needs higher teamwork, tries to much to drop deep and get involved in things. Mentality should be lower to reflect his fragile confidence, lower SP as well.

Agreed with everything in Stu's comment, i'd just like to highlight the teamwork part, he's been really good in what that stat is representing, + higher header is a must.

on header, strangely I edited him to have 95 before signing him in my ML league, surprising realistic, didn't turn him into a beast, missing quite a few headers like he does in reality, but yet also scoring a few like he has done. And this was in a team set up with wide players to cross the ball in. Now that would put him above carroll who is the beast technical header of the ball around, so not seriously suggesting it but certainly food for thought

Sadly I can’t say I disapprove of this update, he’s really fucked up in the head as footballer, though he is by all accounts a really nice guy. No ones going to be a Costa 2.0, but he’s quick, pretty strong (though not as Diego) and arguably got a technical refinement that Costa lacks and yet he’s completely inaffective.

I have been testing with how to replicate this guy and the year and a half long funk he's been in. Aside from the slight down ticks in stats, only his mentality has really been touched for a dude constantly missing easy chances. Ocrin suggested keeping att high to replicate the fact that he gets into great positions, which he does, the problem from what I can tell is he seems toothless and the shooting has been shit. The effort he exerts to get on the end of crosses just seems lower as he allows defenders to make plays on balls he should be putting away, such as this https://youtu.be/XVt5qHza87Y?t=257 show where his killer instinct is lacking. The best way I have found with his was to drop his SA, ST, and his AGG. SA I found on 74 really shows how he is currently finishing and limits him accordingly since he was putting in too many chances with 79, fails to even put shots on target, and has been a below average striker for placement as seen here https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=75 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=84 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=119 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=136 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=156 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=198 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=254 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=262
His ST can just be seen here https://youtu.be/hU6YvKcSPyw?t=1 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=44 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=67 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=92 https://youtu.be/ifoaadIjUtw and I would put on mid greens
AGG and that missing killer instinct are highlighted here https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=107 https://youtu.be/cX6Ah4vcnQg?t=111 and maybe just a slight tick down in this, but is easily the stat I feel least certain about changing or knowing what to do with

I discussed about his shooting with Oklahoma (sorry, cutting it short), I think white SA is a good call, but probably ST should have been brought down as well?
He did have really poor shots and misses because of poor ST as well, it's subpar too, probably not whites, but he could easily be 78. I'm pretty sure he's just not yellows right now.

He's also been clumsy, not sure if he's as tidy as 83 tech implies but I'm not as sure on this one.
Everyone knew it was impossible. Then came along a fool who didn't know it, and he did it.

He also has Ronaldo like bodybalance, he can show good BB, but often falls way to easily, no way he is 85 gets bullied too much.

You can't be a CF and miss so many easy chances like that. Every time you think you've seen the worst from him, he does even worse. :(
