I don't think that they'll sack Ranieri. What's the point in sacking him, paying him compensation, and pay to appoint a new coach who will work with uninterested players for the next 1.5 years?
They will probably let Ranieri continue, working him uninterested players to ridicule himself even further.

Something completely random, but why he keep on playing without any mainstream Wingers in the team, and with Stafylidis(a Left-Back) and Mantalos(more of an Attacking-Midfielder) out-wide instead?
Even Zeca(a Central/Defensive Midfielder) has even played on the Right-Wing at times, most notably Vs Belgium(home), and I think even Maniatis as well, or was it Right-Back?
Anyway, my problem is that we don't play with pacey players out-wide to exploit teams in the counter, and generally make Greece a more capable and dangerous attacking team. For example, Donis or Lazaros on the Left and Gianniotas or Lazaros on the Right, or at least having one of those other non-Winger players(Stafylidis or Mantalos/Zeca) being played on the one flank, and then on the other flank it has to be a proper pacey Winger in order for the team to function better.
However, for some reason Michael Skibbe wants to play very narrow up-front and cautiously without any mainstream Wingers for the start, and in my opinion it really is a bad idea, especially for a traditionally counter-attacking team like Greece. Let's hope that we don't regret this tactic in the near future Vs Croatia.

Well there's a shallow winger pool like you said. Greece has always had that though i think, the last edition was Samaras,Salpingidis etc but playing without a single conventional winger or something close to it isn't functional in th current set up indeed.

Judging from his first games and how Skibbe used him i expect Donis will become the starting left winger in the near future. Otherwise, he'd be a starting attacker in a 4-4-2 but since Fortounis is playing well lately i don't see them switching formations. Either way the team did need for this kind of player to pop up to have a reliable fast forward to suit a defence oriented team and a counter attacking tactic. He's direct and fast, not very wastefull, has end product and he can carry out an attack on his own on occasion which makes him efficient. A lot of that can't be said for Lazaros and Gianniotas.

By now i think it's safe to consider Mantalos a staple on the wing for the Nt. To his credit he's playing his role well, providing his supporiveness and workrate as well as the fact that he's quite versalite. Honestly he gives more to his team from there than from a central position. So he is what Skibbe wanted, an extra presence to the midfield with a good defensive contribution and a decent attacking presence. He doesn't completely deprive the team of width either since he can play quite wide.

I think Donis is injured and he'll miss the Croatia games. I won't be surprised if Stafylidis plays on the wing atleast on the away game. Would be nice if Karelis was an option.

"Shock" inclusions for Omonoia's new-signings Kolovos and Mavrias from Anastasiades, as well as Valerianos at LB from Aris.
Vouros is unlikely to withdraw from the pre-selected squad with a slight hamstring injury missing an opportunity for his 1st ever cap, as he is really becoming one of the most senior players at APOEL at the age of just 23.
From what I have watched from the other two Omonoia guys, their team was lacking quality in the 1st-half of this Season, and those two have made a big impact for them after signed by Yiannis Anastasiou in January, resurrecting their careers. Kolovos I think has made the biggest and most immediate impact of the two playing mainly as a Winger, and I was really not surprised so much to see him in the National-Team based on current form despite having a slight injury recently, but Mavrias was indeed a bit of a shock for me as well. He didn't have as immediate impact as Kolovos had, but shortly after that he was voted as Omonoia's player of the month for February having impressed firstly as a substitute as Winger, and then a starter at Right-Back after the injury of 1st-choice Lora. I guess Anastasiades picked him as a 2nd-choice Right-Back behind Bakakis now with the injury of Vouros, or as a pacey Winger option on the bench if needed to make an impact on the match.
