Updated first post with WC 23 men. Fortunately Eriksson confirmed 19/23 of previous squad. Numbers are not official.

That moron named Tulio must find another way to be famous other than injuring some superstars and scoring own goals.

"L'Equipe" just said that Drogba will be on WC. He decided to operate his arm today and the doctors says he will be able to play again in ten days.

¡Forza Didier!

Plain stupid, he is famous enough for being the best defender in Asia and having one of the best (if not the best) goalscoring record in the WORLD for a defender. But what to expect from someone who reduces East Asian football to captain Tsuabasa.

That foul was neither deliberate nor malicious, if he wanted to commit a foul he would have just stood in his place and stop Didier by committing a small tactical obstruction foul instead of risking a bad knee injury by jumping like that. (in case Drogba had raised his leg to protect himself, would have been a typical reaction during duels of this nature).

He got the ball and intercepted it in the air before even touching Drogba, there is NOTHING to whine about. What he could have done ? Roll the red carpet and bow to Drogba ? Football is not for pussies.

PS : relieved to hear that it looked far worse than it was. Go Ivory Coast !! :)

not defending Tulio, but Drogba wasn't very smart either, a guy 'flying' right next to him and he didn't put his arm away

He will recover swiftly enough to play the first game apparently. Might need a special protective bandage as it happened with Ljunberg few years ago.

It seems your insults are due to the inferiority complex you have. Don't worry Helios, you can get over it.

It may not have been intentional like you say but he can't do that. There's actually something to wine about, so when you ask "what could he have done?" i'll answer: not to try play a ball wich is above waist height with his feet when there is the iminence of a clash. Or, in short terms, folow the rules.

New coach, new call-ups:
GK: Boubacar Barry (Lokeren), Daniel Yeboah (ASEC Mimosas)

DF: Constant Djakpa (Hannover), Sol Bamba (Hibernian), Arthur Boka (Stuttgart), Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal), Siaka Tiene (Valenciennes), Kolo Toure (Manchester City), Guy Demel (Hamburg), Steve Gohouri (Wigan), Benjamin Angoua (Valenciennes)

MF: Didier Zokora (Seville), Emerse Fae (Nice), Kafoumba Coulibaly (Nice), Romaric (Seville), Cheick Tiote (FC Twente), Yaya Toure (Barcelona), Gilles Yapi-Yapo (FC Basel), Emmanuel Kone (CFR Cluj)

FW: Aruna Dindane (Lekhwiya), Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow), Salomon Kalou (Chelsea), Gervinho (Lille), Didier Konan Ya (Hannover), Yannick Sagbo (Monaco), Bakari Kone (Lekhwiya).

Drogba is recovering from injury. Bakari Kone is back but there isn't space for him in first post (all forwards are regulars).

EDIT: they played with 4-3-3:
--------------Yeboah
Demel -- K.Toure -- Zokora -- Tiene
-----Eboue -- Y.Toure -- Tiote
Gervinho ---- Doumbia --- Kalou

With Gervinho sometimes also on left side. Gervinho showed good speed but awful shots (he missed at least a clear chance, alone against the GK). The team played well, doing good passes and showing a good global teamwork.

Defenders: Souleman Bamba (Leicester/ENG), Didier Zokora (Sevilla/ESP), Siaka Tiene (Paris SG/FRA), Benjamin Angouan Brou (Valenciennes/FRA), Guy Demel (SV Hamburg/GER), Steve Gohouri (Wigan/ENG), Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal/ENG)

Midfielders: Yaya Toure (Manchester City/ENG), Cheik Tiote (Newcastle/ENG), Romaric Ndri Koffi (Sevilla/ESP), Kafoumba Coulibaly (Nice/FRA), Max Gradel (Leeds United/ENG)

Forwards: Didier Drogba (Chelsea/ENG), Salomon Kalou (Chelsea/ENG), Gervinho (Lille/FRA), Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow/RUS), Abdul Kader Keita (Al Sadd Sport/QAT), Adama Bakayoko (ASEC Mimosas)

I gave a small update (Gnanhouan, Coulibaly, Fae, Konan), luckly not many players changed since last WC.
