I guess I would rate him more like:
TW: 78-79
DA: 76
TECH/BC: 76
TEN: 74/75
RESP: 79
SPA: 77
SPS: 76
BB: 76/77
MENT/TEN: 75

Physically pretty average, but intelligent and decent ball playing skills.

Needs to be added to the editor. mcmattie has done a good "camouflage job" so the first post seems legit but it's not. :)

You did nothing wrong, mate, it's up to the mods who have to add every player to the editor manually. What's more, you don't have to put all the effort into formatting your post as the editor does that automatically anyway. Next time you can just use standard uncoloured text. ;)

Played very, very well with Jong Ajax yesterday. Seemed to have gained a bit of muscle and determination. But appearently he also got himself another injury...

In a couple of matches he developed in one of the more reliable CBs of the Eredivisie.... Obviously it might be 'beginners luck' but he is already being compared to F. de Boer. HIs defensive intelligence and tactical awareness (also in posession) are superb.

Played very well again today. Wouldn't surprise me if he becomes a first team regular for the national team if he keeps this form. He could use a global update is he keeps playing like he does. Especially TW, Response... even dribble speed can go up.

I'm curious, what's the reasoning behind this TW value?

TW for CB's is holding the D-Line correctly... Veltman's not even greens at this imo...

He's doing pretty good. For a guy that doesn't even look so strong he can hold up very good against stronger players and uses his body and positioning well for tackling.
He plays well with his team in building up an attack from the back, so that's the reasoning for TW I think, but not sure he should have 81 because of that.

He seems to be good in finding space to build up attacks and he usually is rarely caught out of position. That is why I think he deserved higher TW, but yes... 81 is quite high for a defender.

He is awesome at finding space between lines to pass to, but even to dribble in. Obviously he isnt a spectacular dribbler technique-wise, but he know how and where he can pass a man without getting in hazardous situation, often even he even does it in situations that lead to goal scoring opportunities (see Hoesen goal vs Heracles). Personally I think he is a guy where his RESP and TW should be the stand-out stats.

I'd rather raise Tech to high greens for now. Passing in general could be raised as well.

His TW is MUCH lower than this, his communication with the backline is no more than decent, i'd say he's 75 at best...

A good defender, but still has alot to learn, first things first, he's got to train his body further, he's somewhat of a pushover and really isn't that fast too, he's pretty agile though thanks to his thin frame, but he's got no power to back it up really, his dribbling technique is great, he's a really skilled dribbler, times his dribbles well and it's not rare to see him get past 2-4 players... Like Denswil though, his backline communication is pretty bad, hence the low TW.

He's more like Aw 2/3 + Offensive Sideback (or Extra Frontman for PES2014, but I'm not familiar with that game TBH) + Dribbling for old gen PES.
