Whilst I agree with the statement above, I disagree to any raise in mentality. Whilst Howard is a very good goalkeeper, he can often appear to be a little too relaxed at times, and he certainly isn't the type of goalkeeper who will make a massive effort to come and collect an incoming ball, often leaving such work for defenders to deal with. I don't really think a raise in team work is hugely necessary either, as whilst the Everton back line is very well organised, a large part of that is down to the communication between Jagielka, Hibbert and Sylvain Distin settling into the team quite quickly. The most I'd raise team work by is one point, or maybe a two at a big push.

His set hasn't been discussed in a looong time, set still accurate?

In all honesty, I think that we could confine the current set to the Classics section, with the range of 2007-09 (08-09 was definitely his best season). We can probably make quite a few changes here.

I think we can probably decrease his Response. The current value, based on his form over this season and last, doesn't warrant an orange value. His reactions haven't been as cat-like and for Everton, at times, they have occasionally been average. However, looking at some of the stunning saves he has pulled off for the US national team during the latter half of the 2011 calendar year, I wouldn't be too harsh in this area. I'd look to an 87 at the moment (although, in turn, I'd reduce Guzan's Response value to an 84).

Keeper Skills definitely has to go down. Whilst his handling has been solid, and his shot stopping a key facet of his game, I don't believe that either has been good enough - again going from this season and last - to warrant the current value. I'd probably go as far as reducing it to an 85.

I'd reduce his Balance as well. He just isn't as physically imposing in the air or on the ground as he used to be, and looking at other keepers in the ladder he just doesn't deserve it. Heck, I remember an occasion this season when he was rather crumpled when 1-on-1 with an opposing player in the six-yard box. I'd decrease him to an 86, it seems fair to put him equal to Reina.

I'd also look to reduce his speed stats just a tad. He's progressively becoming slower to rush off his line, if at all, for Everton. I'd be fair and go for a TS 69 and a ACC 70.

He had a worldy today in all fairness, havn't seen him looking that good in some time. The wind clearly carried the ball when it bounced for his goal though but still

I'll save a lot of people a lot of time: there's no point doing any gimmicky shit because it has no effect in game. Unless Konami introduce a gale-force wind weather setting or some kind of Beaufort scale feature, it'll be impossible to replicate what happened last night.

'Nuff said.

I know most people would have been. But the amount of times you get a moron coming into a thread because of an incident like that and requesting a change in a certain area is staggering. Just look at the amount of times you'll get someone asking for a GK's header to be increased because he scored a headed goal.

I'm just trying to be pre-emptive, that's all. ;)

Well, I admit it, it's quite useless really. No more, please.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
Penalty Stopper

EXPLANATIONS:
Howard is a solid keeper, but is not among the best. He is very responsive, but he is actually very unagile, like a log. His KS is good, punches go far out to the sides, and he cover most of his net. His Defence, his overall ability is not on the same level as his RES and GKS. His RES is not on par with the likes of Krul, Sorenson, Al-Habsi. He is on Lindegaard's level, infact I believe the two to be very similar keepers in all areas. Lindegaard may be the better of the two though right now.
If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

I stumbled across this image while doing editing for PES3 last night:

Next to 191cm Rio Ferdinand and 190cm John O'Shea. It's odd, because all sources agree that he's 191cm himself. I swear football players' heights freely fluctuate sometimes...

Yeah, but Rio is more like 194 and O'Shea is 192. Tim was a bit younger back then so he could have grown a bit from that.
