Danny Wilson, Colorado Rapids

Postby PES Stats Database » 2010 Apr 03, 19:49

Young left-sided centre-half, who made his debut in the 3-1 Co-op cup win over Dundee in October 2009. The Livingston born teen then became the youngest Rangers player to play in the UEFA Champions League by starting in the 1–1 draw against Unirea Urziceni, aged 17 years and 312 days.

Wilson made 15 appearances in total during the 2009-10 season, scoring once against Hearts, and established himself in the heart of the Rangers defence alongside David Weir, despite the fact there is a 21 year age gap between them.

After winning the Scottish FWA Young Player of the Year award, Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award and the Rangers Young Player of the Year - as voted by the clubs supporters - there has been strong interest from other clubs, especially Liverpool, and a big money move for the Gers number 66 wiil surely happen sooner rather than later.

Seriously, I don't. I've seen him play 90 minute games and at the moment he doesn't deserve it.

Hmm ok, let just see how he'll go on in Liverpool shirt. Maybe clips are not good enough because they only show short situations.

Yeah, clips only show the good parts of someones game, he's a very good defender though.

He played LB against Northampton Town in the League Cup, but at the moment i think in the EPL Liverpool would have to be really injury ravaged for him to be played there. However he is still only 18, and there's no reason why he won't become more versatile (like Martin Kelly) with time.

Danny Wilson will stay Hearts player even after his loan, Liverpool sold him officially to Hearts: http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/articles/2013 ... 84_3192360?

Colorado has been a pathetic team thus far with only 2 points on the season. The first 3 games he played I got to see and he was looking very shaky. Will revisit later

Wilson been used in DMF role recently, "to make use of his long range passing". I did not see that happening though. Think him and Smith are no longer guarenteed spots, Deklyn Wynne and Sjoeberg were getting more time this season, and then Colorado got Abubakar from Columbus.

If you watch him more tell me if you think he needs
*Dribbling and *Tact. Dribble - gave it in my OF but I have seen little of him.

DEF (low 70s), RES (68 or lower?), Speed/ACC low 70s, Agility down a little and TW into high 60s are places I modded him in my OF. Let me know what you see when you can make a judgement.

Hahah I did not realize that Colorado are worse off than New England, to me they've been better than the tiny bits I seen last season - they got like red cards in 5 of their 11 matches this season - its really shafted them - first game of season in the blizzard vs Portland they managed to come back to a 3-3 despite being a man down. Kei Kamara even in his old age makes a lot happen for them..they dont have a DP do they? They are this MLS team that refuses to spend any money and in a league with relegation they would've been gone multiple seasons in a row...playing some Anderson kid 16 years old when you are in the basement is maybe a long term project, but not an immediate guarentee for points.

Do you know Jack Price at all? Was in Championship, commentators talk of him as some fancy playmaker - I am not really seeing it - vid on youtube associating him with Pirlo.
