Link worked fine for me. In any case I've replaced the vine with a YouTube video that should work.

Did brilliantly in this run through the heart of the City midfield and did well to get past Kompany, but of course he messes it up at the vital stage. I'd like to see more of this kind of play from him instead of always passing it out wide. This and his tackle on Toure was his best moments in the match otherwise he was pretty average and dithered on the ball too much.

What a run Vs Man City.

Played deep into the midfield. Not as AMF, but as CMF, I believe.
He made some bad long passes, but overall he played well.

EDIT:
Didn't notice that Welbeck19 posted the video before me, sorry.

I didn't say anything when his ts was lowered because I knew the reason for it.. but even at the time he was lowered you could still see rooney showing great top speed. His problem was only acceleration, which he used to rely on, an which is much more relevant and useful then TS, but the TS was always there.
If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

I remember someone was questioning his attack value and suggesting a 89, is that still a concrete possibility?

Top Speed can rise a bit. Surely, he is quicker than Van Persie in sprinting, if not much better! Rooney hasn't lost much or any speed recently even though he is approaching 30.
He was never the quickest, but he definitely can make some impressive sprints, even right now. I am thinking about TS: 84.

Also, what about adding him the Box-to-Box card? Isn't this how he plays at the moment? Finally, after so many season, I don't think it's madness anymore to suggest adding him the CMF position, with probably WF being removed, because he out-wide there like 2 or 3 times a season there for England, while he gets many games for club level as CMF.

Another excellent game as CMF Box-to-Box.
What about an update on what I said before? :)

I disagree, I don't see his TS is higher than 80 at all.

Comparing him to van Persie is unfair, as van Persie 79 value is a bit overrated, he should be on 76-78.

Pass for RvP's goal was superb, i think he should be on 89 LPA, i think he is better than Hummels, hes been realy good lately, switchin sides with superb precision

Totally agree there. Its true that he has already a high TW (90), but the position has to be added anyway, even if no one is gonna put him there in PES XD

About TS, 82 is a value a little bit conservative for me. He doesnt run that much with the ball, but he still can make some really nice runs, like against City. That one was 84 TS for me, i think 83 will be a better value. He has 4 Form anyway, so that already limits him.

I am going back to what I said some time ago.

He is playing at CMF for months now...
Today, he even played as a pure DMF for a big part of the game when Blind was injured.

Surely he needs an update...

He is much faster then 82!! His ACC is not the greatest anymore but he can still run really fast if he wants. His top speed is too low at 82.
A mid yellow would fit him better.

His top speed should still be around the 85 mark, but for older games with acceleration I'd still keep that around the 82 mark. Some things need to come down stats wise such as body balance. He hasn't shown borderline orange strength for quite a while now and I remember him been easily brushed off the ball last season by players who are certainly don't have a high balance value as Rooney does. Balance wise I feel an 86 value would fit him better. For positions WF needs to be removed, he never plays there anymore as his main positions look to be as a striker or attacking or central midfielder. He's not someone used in a wide area anymore.

Updated him with the suggestions I posted above, also made CF his default position again as he is United's main striker under Van Gaal. Thinking about removing Dummy Runner as that's a trait he doesn't show a lot any more. Giving him Box to Box would be a better fit for him nowadays.
