I think his Era should be 1993/1997, Age: 30-34. In that period he was pretty consistent and he scored 15 or more goals per season (in 1993/1994 and 1996/1997 he scored 23 goals per season). I really enjoyed watching him and Bergkamp during the mid '90s. They formed great partnership in those days.

I am not sure about his shot technique. Wasn't he that kind of player that scores because is agile, pacey and with instict and get to scoring positions more often than most of the others? Shot technique these values are for the likes of Baggio and Van Basten in my opinion.

I partially agree with Classical. He doesn't deserve 95 or more ST, but he deserves 93-94 for ST. There is high number of goals he scored from tough angles but it seems to me that his SA and his good sense of keepers positioning (combined with his excellent ST) helped him to do so.

Also I think his SA is underrated, I would suggest 93. Agility could be raised to 86-87 and Heading to 86 (it seems to me that he was better in that segment then in Jump).

Now, WFA should be 6 and WFF should be 5 or 6. I really don't understand value of 4 for his WFA (at least from the games I watched, I saw he could use his left foot really well). Also, I think he should have *1-Touch Pass and *1-1 Scoring. He is very calm in critical 1-1 situations and he scored quite a few goals with volley shots.

So, suggestions would be:

Agility: 87,
Shot Accuracy: 93,
Shot Technique: 93,
Heading: 86,

WFA: 6,
WFF: 6,

*1-1 Scoring,
*1-Touch Pass.

Agree with the wfa and wff... watch the i an wright dvd and u have him talk about how mucb he worked on his left foot so that when instict kicked in he could have the technique to use it, but i agree with a high ST he could do what he imagied he wanted to do. u need technique to be able to score half the goals he did

Thoughts on the discussed figures ? I generally agree with them Id probably lower attack slightly I wouldn't say his positioning was this superior to Andy Cole and Robbie Fowler for example. I can see his speed stats and agility on the same level as his mate Jermain Defoe as well, their general movements are bloody similar. He was also a pretty greedy player not sure why teamwork is this high.

In view of the new standards here also need some updates.
The attack, around that of Henry(96).
Amazing finisher shot accuracy around between Bergkamp(92) and Henry(95).
Condition 7 of this era 1993-97 every year play over 30 appearances for championship.
And for the 1993-94 season has total of 52 appearances for Arsenal, which is not so little.
Weak Foot Accuracy: 7 of this video in one part of it,I wondered and forgot who is his stronger foot,
because there were a series of goals with his left foot, and it some of them finished brilliantly,
especially the one vs Auxerre 8:43 min.
Born to finish,YES very cool title :D

And another thing I think his speed must be higher than the acceleration. Btw of Konami give him top speed 90, just for info.

Perhaps, although it's probably worth noting that this set's intended for his later days... As far as '92 to '95 goes, I like to think I was pretty meticulous in reviewing old footage, and I only ever considered a higher value for TS. Regardless, what're the values you have in mind?

Guys, I think there should be a correction in status on speed, dribble acc, dribbling speed.

I'm not changing anything on the basis of a single video, and I honestly resent your tone. Put some thought in to your suggestions or I'll just leave the current values as they are.

I've been going over some old footage of his (same footage I used to make the set, actually) and I'm feeling more and more that he needs a red ST value to be replicated in game. The man could score all manner of goals, whether it was first time on the volley, with defenders hounding him, with the ball bouncing, or even with the defender keeping him goal side and forcing him out wide, he had this uncanny ability to absolutely always finish clinically from just about anywhere. Honestly, what most strikers would consider a half chance at best, Wright considered a clear cut goal scoring opportunity. He was just that good of a finisher.

His SA could do with a raise too, it's honestly tremendous how even from the tightest angles he managed to hit the corners – he gave keepers absolutely no chance to make a save, even under the most difficult of circumstances.

Just as a note, I've raised his TS and ACC by a couple of points each. Nothing much to say there, apart from the previous values didn't do him justice – he covered ground excellently when he hit his stride and his ACC wasn't half bad either. Even considering his timing and his anticipation, his pace is probably what aided him the most when it came to playing off the defenders shoulder.

Now I like a lot more, and if you increase Shot Accuracy as you think you do, it will be even better.
By the way so shall resembles a lot of Ian Wright in my PES in my Classic Arsenal. :)

MOD EDIT: No full sets.

Yep, a raise in shooting stats is definitely needed. He was a phenomenal finisher no matter what way you look at it.

Is that Konami's set for him, or your own? I ask because I can only find their Wright set for PES 2013.

EDIT: Already got my answer from the mod edit, nevermind.

I refrain from looking at Konami sets when I'm working on players because I find it clouds my judgement a bit, but I'm really liking the green values for DA. Although, I probably wouldn't go quite as low as Konami have.

How about acceleration 88 to 90??
I think his acceleration is more fast when I saw his game and his reaction.

Return to “90's”
