Here's a good video I found of him on Youtube.

Maybe DA could go up to 94 and technique to 92. He was good at those sombreros.

I'd never heard of this guy before this thread but he seemed to have everything going for him talent wise. Skill, pace, strength, height. He probably wasted his talent.

It would have been good to see him at the 1986 World Cup.

Keeper skills should be higher.
He was very good with handling the ball.

Maradona should take 90+ mentality in the first two eras I think. It's the difference between him and Messi: he was the charismatic leader always looking to do something inspiring when he got the ball, always get involved in play, carrying weaker teams to ridiculous heights. He really had the Roy Keane mentality at his best.

SPA could go to 95 in the 84-86 set. Messi and him are on the same spot on that age. And maybe 80 on balance would make more sense. He went down more than Pelé on challenges.

Agree with 95 SPA on the first set and i think that on all of them his BB is overrated. Two points down for it. And his MENT always seemed higher to me on the first too. He was a great leader, being chased around the field mercilessly but still holding on the good game.

I think that Maradona was the best Player in History of Football. He has the best Touch from every Player of the World. And thank God that he put him to Napoli :D. He is the One and Only who deserves in Technique 99.

Don't you think that his Boca and Barca set would be nice? Less playmaking, but quicker and more flashy young Diego is a must-have in a game ;)

Actually he does need 2 sets, the first from his younger days in Argentinos Juniors, scoring 116 goals and being topscorer of a couple of seasons being really young and having insane matches like the one vs Gatti, also to replicate his 1979's U-20's apparision and another one from 1981 in that great Boca playing upfront with Brindisi, yeah could be extended to his Barca's days. I tried to watch some footage from his young days but then I gave up, if someone is interested on it I'm open to rewatch some footage to give it a try. Also the last set could be extended until his retirement in 1997 playing from 95' to 97' in Boca, he was basically the same player, probably even slower.

Do you have some outsets for his younger sets?

How much different of a player was he before Napoli days in your opinion? From what I've seen he was really quick in Boca - definitely quicker than in mid-80s. I'm not Maradona expert though.

Well actually I could watch a lot from him in Argentinos in the past but never ever tried a set cause it's very hard to find accurate numbers. He was definitely faster and agiler imo and was a goal produce machine (scoring and assisting), remember he (with 16-19 years) was two or three times (don't remember exactly) top scorer of afa, back then when it was rare to see a guy with less than 20 years playing that much and that good...well it's Maradona. He was kicked all the time, defences were even harder than now in afa and referees let the game continue even when some of those fouls deserved red cards. That's what I admire from Diego, that young and still he had to deal with almost murderers in the field all the time and he beated them easily. I'm not discovering anything but his time at Argentinos was absolutely blow minding...then in Boca (imo) wasnt' THAT good...but still a god. In that team Brindisi was the best player obviously with Diego. You can use this as a guide but I'm not saying it's 100% ok, it's just my view. Some numbers may seem exaggerated but giving less him will overlook how genius he was even at that young age. Remember he was key and best player in U-20 WC in 1979 as well, three years after his debut.

I was wrong, since I watched today this vid made by Lucas, I made some quick research about 97' season and he was physically done in my eyes, tried to avoid any kind of contact and he was easily pulled down. He was brilliant, always, but less participative than in WC 1994. Also his pace at short passing was really really low as well as his off the ball movement, i'd rate his sps/lps at low whites or even 60's tbh, he used to play like a 1960's amf in his last year. He made some great long passes as well, and had more pace than the short ones but still weren't that special. I'd taken down the 94' set to make one from his last days. These kind players should have 4 or 5 sets to replicate his different eras.

I can add the Argentinos/Boca set as well if there's any comment

Doesn't he deserve more ts, agility and jump? And what about the S14 - Speed Merchant card?
