He's marking the opposition tighter than ever, so we can award him Marking/Man Marking instead of Covering.
He may also require +1 or +2 in MEN to reflect this, + Awareness DEF.

It's a 1-year loan to Bremen:

http://www.werder.de/en/aktuell/news/37390.php

BTW, I'd suggest you to follow his TECH, as he seems to have improved on it. Honestly I don't see him just 2 points over his future teammate Sebastian Prödl. I'd go for 75.

Agree with MaxPower's suggestions, and his DA should be 73,74 maybe and AGI 77.

no doubt that his technical attributes deserve a boost. against nürnberg he did a lot of dribbling into the midfield zone to spread the balls from there and he did it very well.

Updated. He hasn't a good control of the ball, i mean he can't handle too close to his feet, but the 71 was too harsh. Raised his DA to 73 and AGI to 76, and with his TECH gave by s-cobar seems enough. Is most his fluidity at movements than his defensive aspects, for me he looses position often, can be wrong but i will keep the eye on it. ;)

He looks better in both TS and ACC than Hummels. Actually his positioning, which he can still improve, is greatly compensated with his pace.
Considering this, I see his TS in 82 (as Boulahrouz) and ACC in 79 (as Tasci).
Also, I wouldn't mind if his Balance was increased. He's certainly not weaker than his countrymate Timm Klose (85).

I'll suggest some numbers after managing to watch a few Werder matches...
TS 81 (previously exaggerated with 82, he's faster than Hummels but not that much).
Just keep ACC on its current value.
HEA 78 (not over Sokratis on this; Affolter just uses his headers to clear balls, helped by his great leap).

I have been focusing about him. I have some doubts about current DEF, i saw him more sitting at 78. He is RES>DEF kind of defender and needs a bigger gap between both stats but i think it should be better decreasing his TW with that we replicate his lost of position. I have checked konami set but isn't really good imo, looks like a random gray values set but i think he can have 71/72 TW - don't check ladders here because are a bit outdated. Talking about his TS i saw him really fast, he can easily be 83 TS and has a really fluent body movement so suggested 77 AGI sounds good. Finally, i think he isn't this strong to deserve current BB, i rate him more 81/82.

Good observations in general. DEF 78 is fair enough and his RES is almost world-class for a player of his age (81-82?). IMO it would be interesting to see him playing as DMF; he almost has everything what it takes to play in that position. Besides, it seems that he doesn't deserve Marking anymore, for what I've seen.
He is a good prospect but has struggled at times like most of his teammates at Bremen.

Stamina and Mentality need decreases. He isn´t so strong in his mind. Also Condition need a 5.

Stamina: 77
Mentality: 74
Condition/Fitness: 5

Back to YB Bern at 31.12.2012, Werder didn't make use of their option to buy him.

It was expected that Bremen wouldn't sign him on a permanent basis. He's even been playing for Werder Bremen II lately (their reserve team in Regionalliga Nord, part of the fourth tier of German football).

Yes, even if he played he clearly lacked the quality to play in the Bundesliga. Don't know if he's been overrated or just couldn't acclimate.

I think that is more that he couldn't acclimate (not saying he is good neither). But Werder Bremen kamikaze style of play didn't help him and makes him looks exposed so easily. Almost all CB´s in Bremen are exposed due team style of playing always going forward.
