He has indeed been magnificent in the last few matches of the Cyprus National Team in the Nations League, with the only exception the first match Vs Norway(away) in which Urko Pardo played as a starter. People thought that Urko Pardo becoming Cypriot would relegate Panagi to the bench, but they had been proved wrong. Whether it is because of the great form or Panagi or the dipped form of Pardo, it is debatable.
Panagi is finally rediscovering his great form he once had when he broke into the Omonoia's starting line-up back in early 2015. After a good one and a half year as a starter, his form started to drop, experienced some inconsistencies as well as minor problems with ball-playing with his feet and coming out from his line to collect the ball from crosses, but nevertheless he continued as a starter for another year, with the only exceptions of some minor injuries he had. It was not until the Summer of 2017 that he had been dropped to the bench for a new goalkeeper signing, but after the poor form of the new signing, Panagi was back in the starting line-up, however only after a couple of games as a starter last Season, he suffered a major shoulder injury that ruled him out for the rest of the Season.
This Season at Omonoia he had been 2nd-fiddle to 1st-choice Mejias, but after his great performances in the Nations League, I would expect him to be a starter soon for them. The only change needed for his Set at the moment:
Injury Tolerance: B (-1)
