I put it because he tries to score all the time, but recently without much success.

No, every striker likes to score but few are the ones that will ALWAYS try to score instead of passing no matter if he's in worse position than a teammate or not..

Watched Southampton the other day and he seemed right footed to me. Or is he maybe a bit ambidextrous?

Paddy, what you think of the guy? He’s a workhorse every time I see him running his tail off chasing down the ball always. He’s a solid passer and capable short passer. Not too much in the way of out and out attacking skill though.

I haven't watched much of Sheff United, but looking over the chat in here I found a lot of that entertaining.

https://youtu.be/pzbmpu2SeOA?t=170 really nice strike from distance here. Further, I rate his defensive level in the upper 40s as he works really well to press and try to win the ball back in advanced positions once it is turned over and has helped create turnovers that allow his team to get good goal scoring opportunities as a direct result.

One of the hardest working players on the pitch, McGoldrick is the guy that forces things to happen by his movement and mentality. He drops deep a lot to open up space for other runs and works well in combination play with others. He has some good finishing abilities as well and can certainly time his runs really well when he makes them. Overall, he is a good player to partner with a clinical finisher like a Billy Sharp who will capitalize on the chances manufactured by McGoldrick.

His mentality and work-rate are second the none at the position. I recall numerous occasions last season where he came up with huge last minute contributions and then he just always sets the tone for the team. Teamwork is a high green number at least and mentality is yellow in my books. He is limited in his technical skills, but his footballing smarts and heart make him a great contributor. Response should also get a bump to 81 as he is always intercepting balls or pouncing on loose ones in and around the box. Finds a way to beat others to the ball. BB and a few other stats will likely need raises as well.
