I honestly believe his LPA could be,just something,higher....look at this:(wingers and smfs out of the list)

88: David PIZARRO** (89)
87: Gaetano D'AGOSTINO** (87), Wesley SNEIJDER* (87), Cristiano ZANETTI (81)
86: Sergio VOLPI* (81)
85: Esteban CAMBIASSO (82), Luca CIGARINI** (81),
84: Angelo PALOMBO (87), Cristian Daniel LEDESMA* (83), MAICON (82), DIEGO** (82), Daniele DE ROSSI (81), Fabio SIMPLICIO* (78),
83: Riccardo MONTOLIVO** (85), Sergio ALMIRON* (84), Dejan STANKOVIC (84), Thomas HITZLSPERGER (84), Daniele GALLOPPA (84), Claudio MARCHISIO (82), Gökhan INLER* (82), Sebastian GIOVINCO* (81), Alberto ZAPATER* (80), MOZART (78), Andrea POLI* (78)

Honestly i can see him a point,or two even on his LPA higher......and a point lower in his LPS.
And guys like Cambiasso should be something lower imo,in the game would be too effective comparing the real 'quality' he adds to the midfield.

I would see also his Aggression sligthly lowered, his AMF times are defintly over, for now.

Cambiasso is ATM @ LPA81 LPS81, no need to bump Montolivo, imo. And to be fair, that Cons 6 is not fully earned, he still suffers the Big Match and when the team is uninspired he still can't take it on his shoulders and lead it to the victory.

I think his defence, response and mentality could go up a few points, he's simply not the type to just sit back and watch the game go by him. Interestingly enough he has amassed the most of intercepts than any other midfielder in serie a (102 compared with Cambiasso's 74 -- he's second overall after Lucio). I think his defence could sit safely at the 64-67 range and perhaps raise response 1pt (not sure about this one). Mentality is tough one because although he does often look rather subdued in midfield, he does proffer a lot of movement around the central area, getting involved in a lot of defensive work and then running up to join the attack. He just doesn't go about it vehemently, regardless, he's not lazy. Maybe mentality @ 78-79. He has improved in many aspects of his game becoming an all round midfielder with good ball-recovery skills. Though he was stand-in captain but he looks like he's first choice. Why not Frey :?

Since taking over the captaincy he has been a different player. Like you said Ron his defense has been sharp and well positioned. Def could easily be the max you suggested 67....look who he'd be on par with Tiberio GUARENTE, Massimo DONATI, Alberto ZAPATER, Sulley MUNTARI, Fabio LIVERANI, Daniele GALLOPPA, Kwadwo ASAMOAH. Recently he has been playing as well or better def than most of them. But with the Def raise I might hesitate to raise Response. 83 already represents his sharp read of the game. Recently when he is taking over a half(or full game) his response looks like an 88, but then he get's his timing off and looks more like an 80. So I'd go 83/84 Res. Mentality has been the biggest change in his game since captaincy. He has bit at ends of games. Shows a total fighting spirit, partly why he is quickly becoming my favorite player in the Viola uniform 8-)

I would have defence @ 65 and then response @ 84.

Some tweaks that can probably be made now. Just looking at the ladders, some of these look obvious.

Remove AMF?
Side Both
Def: 65(+3)
Bal: 79(+1)
Sta: 85(+2)
Res: 84(+1)
Ment: 79(+4)

Yeah, get rid of AMF, although with Prandelli leaving in the summer, he may be reinstated in that position next summer. agree with the rest.

Now I'm thinking that Simon Kjaer doesn't know anything about stats making. But a hell of a defender. Hey, and stop making bad suggestions on stats I've made! :ugeek:

Ok so he's not lazy, nor does he just stand and watch the game passby in midfield. His problem is that he doens't put himself on the ball often enough to to be influential. I propose we raise mentality and lower TW. May not replicate Monty perfectly but it makes more sense. Also he's not a static playmaker anymore so that can go. In sum:

TW:80-81
Mentality @ 85
Remove playmaking*

Thoughts?

Seems like the water carrier, but barely selfless. Maybe sinisa's fault, Agree in Ment + the removal of playmaking, but the TW seems scary, as it'll decrease the vertical incisions he'll provide. He is always a threat to the opposing teams, and maybe he'll turn matches like the recent one vs palermo, more often, with the TW decrease. He's a captain, and the interaction and drive will be missing. At least an 83. He still has the communication of a scott parker, however abject his performances have been.

Technique and response are too much for Montolivo. He has a good pass with elegant movements, but technique and contition fitness are madly overrated!!! He's a discontinuous player and he hasn't a good response.
So, this stats are not so good for him I think :S
I suggest Technique 84, response 78, condtion fitness 5.
