Re: Alexis SÁNCHEZ

Okay. I understand he has only scored a couple goals for Barcelona but they all have superb accuracy and placement. Now, from his Udinese days, his shot placement was also decent. I know, he wasn't the most consistent player of all and did have some "bad games". But when he shoots, he goes...

Re: Daniel ALVES

Alves has improved his long passes since two seasons ago. Or maybe it's because you're not noticing his shitty long passing skills because he's long passing less. But at least now, he's not hitting them too far. Still, giving him yellow is overkill.

Re: Leo MESSI

Because he deserves an A. He rarely gets injured and he has yet to be out due to injury for a long period of time. The last time I remember he had a knock, it was last season against Atletico in the Calderon where he was literally trampled over. Messi very rarely gets injured and he just continue to...

Re: THIAGO Alcántara

Think we can remove SMF? He hasn't played this since Spain U-21 Euro(and even then, he was more of an AMF). Is it too early? I mean, he's already on the first team. I doubt he will ever get the chance to play SMF again in Barca. And for the Spain NT, players in the wings are more like AMFs. OT but I...

Re: XAVI Hernández

Actually, Xavi's dribbling is about delicate touches. His turns, his traps, his dribbles all involve the slightest of touches but he's able to do it fast and complete a full 360 degree turn in the blink of an eye. Whenever he dribbles, he keeps the ball right at his feet. He rarely loses the ball. O...

Wouldn't say so. He was injure free last season. But in the past two, he has had some injuries.

Re: Leo MESSI | 2009-2011 & 2005-2006

By 2010, I mean before WC. I'm trying to emphasize the difference between the Messi of from seasons 08/09 and 09/10. Messi was much more attack minded during those 2 seasons. He went for goals a lot. He constantly dribbled to the opponent area. But the Messi from 10/11 and this season is different. ...

Re: Leo MESSI | 2009-2011 & 2005-2006

It may be a few points of difference but points don't mean everything. These points change his gameplay dramatically. Still, I personally think averaging the stats from both eras as complete bs. "Oh, Messi deserved an 82 back in 08 and he deserves an 88 now. So let's put those two eras into one...

Re: XAVI Hernández | 2008-2010 & 2004-2006

Xavi was considered the best player in the world during 09/10 and he was voted 2nd best last season. I'm not talking about the FIFA Ballon D'or. Fuck that award. Yes, Xavi was injured last season but his form did not decrease THAT much and for much of the season, maintained a consistent form. Many p...

Re: Andrés INIESTA

What about his condition? His form was great last season. He dribbled, passed, and moved consistently every match last season.

Wasn't his tech suppose to be 95? He traps ground balls better than Messi while Messi can trap balls better with his body.

Re: David VILLA

Just because he's voted worst player doesn't mean he actually is the worst. There are many unsung heroes in football that will never get the praise they deserve (Xavi, Laudrup, Riquelme, etc) Villa has a superb work rate at Barca. He constantly dribbles, makes runs, and gets open for passes. In fact...

Re: Formations & Tactics

I don't think a 3-4-3 formation is needed yet. Okay, here are my reasons. 1. It's the start of the season. It's still too soon. We might as well wait until midseason or during Club World Cup. When (or if) the 3-4-3 does become a commonly used formation in Barcelona alongside 3-4-3. 2. Like the curre...

Re: Leo MESSI | 2009-2011 & 2005-2006

No, not really. I think the 09-11 set should be divided into two more sets. One that reflects the Messi of 2 years ago and one that represents him now and most likely in the future. Take SPA for example. Two years ago, Messi's SPA is low 80's max. But now, he can be in the upper 80's easily. We can'...
