Re: Lionel Messi

As a said a few posts earlier, the 2009-2013 era is where he had the ball glued to his foot even when running at max speed. Now he's lost a bit of that and compensating in other areas During that time he was rated at 98ds and quite a bit higher ts and acc than today. In terms of pure control he's n...

Re: Neymar

If the vid is cringeworthy, then the comment section is straight cancer: "He is the best football player.... Amazing Skill and talent..." "Wow!! Neymar is the best in the world" "Neymar a la Ronaldinho" "KING NEYMAR" FFS these type of comments would have be...

Re: Giorgio Chiellini

He was 93 at the time of my commenting, Duvan has been updated since then. All matches matter. They constitute the data points from which we can rate players. But yes, a single match should not define a player. As I mentioned, since Chiellini does not often get matched with forwards with BB >86 I a...

Re: Lionel Messi

Yet another great long pass from him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-5mxanYA2I&t=1m28s In the same vid just a moment earlier you can see a pretty nice free kick from him, even though slightly innacurate. However, mostly due to lack of power, Buffon would most definetely have saved it, if it had...

Re: Giorgio Chiellini

Actually Zapata is at 94, besides does a single match really matter that much in a grand scheme of things?

Re: Gerard Piqué

I have a few suggestions for this set. TS: 71 - It could be even lower actually, I rarely see him displaying decent speed. I actually have him under 70 in my OF; it may look harsh but I find it replicates his movement way better than a high speed rating does. DA: 77 - He's good on the ball, but 82?...

Re: Lionel Messi

It seems that most of you guys are opposed to the idea of increasing Messi's st. I'd like to provide some examples of his goals that impress me st-wise. Obviously goals don't show the whole picture but since he scores a shitload of them they can still give a nice presentation of his abilities. All o...

Re: Lionel Messi

There is one thing that kind a bothers me about this set and I couldn't find any discussion on this in recent pages. I mean shot technique. 85 is by no means a bad number but cm'on, it's Messi we're talking about. The only reason I see to set this that low is to not make him too OP/broken but let's ...

Re: Franck Ribéry

When I took a look at this set it seemed like this set is supposed to replicate Ribery in his prime. I found how he's rated in classic section for 2010-13 era and the differences are minimal, even in physical attributes like speed, which he clearly lost a lot. Now from what I've read it seems that t...

Re: Giorgio Chiellini

Shouldn't his balance be a bit higher? I mean he might be past his physical prime, not as dominating as much in strength department but overally he always looked like an orange value player to me.

This video shows that he was able to pull off some nice dribbles at speed when he wanted to/in right conditions.

Re: Arjen Robben | 2004-2006 | 2009-2011 | 2012-2015

I think that for his physical prime (09-11) he deserves 98ds. Furthermore at that time he has been already worhy of 95 da just like in 12-15 set. What do you guys think?

Re: Mikaël Silvestre | 2007-2009

I remember him slightly better defensivelly but worse offensivelly. His offensive play was very limited, he didn't have much to offer here. Could be excellent LB if main goal is to nullfy dangerous right winger. I don't think he needs even 70 attack, high 60s would do. As far as defense goes I think...
