Re: Morgan Schneiderlin

Matuidi is just one example of many high % pass players who struggle to play simple passes for whatever reason. Kante's another, 90% this season and probably going to maintain that, yet I regularly see him balloon a ball into absolutely nowhere. So to say there's no room for it statistically, it jus...

Re: Morgan Schneiderlin

So what, Matuidi isn't a passing liability with his 92%? He fails basic passes stupidly often. It doesn't mean a thing because the stat is inflated by a 50+ three yard sideways passes per game. Knowing what a quality passer he is? Pre-conceived notions trump what he's actually doing then? Okay. If y...

Re: Morgan Schneiderlin

I based it off watching him play for over two years at Man United? Enough to see he's weak with passing these days (along with most of his game...), no better on the ball than Fellaini and gets simple passes wrong quite often, nevermind actually starting any attacks. Not just looking at passing % st...

Re: Morgan Schneiderlin

Deserves a downgrade in passing stats at least. I remember him being quite creative at Southhampton but he's dire at United, looks like a liability in possession.

Re: Emre Mor

this guy is the closest to Messi ive seen at 19 in terms of dribbling. think he's higher in DA and acc. he's way ahead of the likes of say Bale or Martial in close control already

Re: Andrés Iniesta

i think he's a bit underrated in his body movements, he hasn't declined so much since his prime

https://youtu.be/NQQxLDk_EuA?t=236 https://youtu.be/NQQxLDk_EuA?t=459 looks a fair bit higher than 82 acceleration

i think he's still a bit more agile too

Re: Paul Scholes | 2002-2003 | 2008-2010

imo his short passing is overrated in both 02-03 and even your one, he only ever played simple passes along the ground. practically never attempted a through-ball. I think it could be 86 to do what he did.

Re: Mesut Özil

Why's he still have bad form? Probably Arsenal's most consistent performer for almost 2 years, can't really think of anyone better... alongside Kos and Monreal. Also excellent for Germany. First game back this season and he's already producing magic. Though after I wrote that he has an atrocious gam...

He should have *dribbling for sure.

Higher attack and maybe super-sub too, he just looks so dangerous and direct.

Re: David Silva

Maybe he needs a little downgrade in some areas? Silva still has magic in his feet and is consistent, but just a very good player as opposed to unplayable. Probably lower attack and physical stats.

Then again who knows what Guardiola will get out of him.

with all of this coverage of him available to watch now I think his passing is quite a bit better than this, he really looks like a young Alonso.

Re: Iker Casillas | 1999-2002 | 2006-2010

Was his jump so good? He always looked a bit shaky coming out to catch things and he didn't seem to have a crazy reach in his saves. I think he's not better than Scmeichel or Neuer in that regard.

Re: Paul Scholes | 2002-2003 | 2008-2010

what do you think about changing some things? like earlier up his 2006/2007 season isn't included which was sort of a comeback year where he reinvented himself in the deep midfield position and played really well also it's sort of backwards with his passing and teamwork being higher in 02/03 than la...

Re: Marc-André ter Stegen

He fethed up, got a goal scored on his net... and somehow it's not really a mistake? :? when you push up high to do the sweeper role something crazy like that Roma goal can happen, it's not a mistake and it pays off ultimately. ofc he does make mistakes though like that headed clearance vs Bilbao

Re: Marc-André ter Stegen

stegen sniffs out a lot of danger with his forward positioning that he otherwise wouldn't. this blunder is a bit exaggerated to me, wouldn't call it a mistake more a side effect of this sweeper keeper/forward positioning thing that managers are instructing.
