Re: Benjamin Pavard

SPS looks already like mid 80s material.
He's gradually been consistent in that regard over the years, and those direct ground passes makes Bayern's transition from defense to attack much faster and aggresive.

Re: Mason Holgate

He looks promising for some moments, but... Well, his CB partnership with Mina sucks. Holgate is surely better in the air; the current set doesn't make much justice in that regard. But he also has some serious issues with concentration and positional awareness. And playing alongside Mina is not help...

Re: Djibril Sow

He's already worth low 80s for TW; he's quite active on being a reliable option to receive a pass and then dictate tempo from deep.
He also uses that tactical sense when it comes to defend, by covering positional gaps or getting how his teammates will move themselves while defending.

Re: José Izquierdo

He's been injured and unable to play for Brighton since May last year. But even before that serious knee injury, he's been crappy for The Seagulls. He's way too dumb and "itinerant" to justify his laziness and lack of commitment in field. Maybe Graham Potter will find a proper role for Izq...

Re: Thiago Alcântara

He makes tons of touches, but it is not just because it's about Bundesliga. He's the first choice deep-lying playmaker at Bayern. And, after all, it is a no-brainer to expect him playing with first touches a lot from that role. I understand your concern about him not being a really offensive threat ...

Re: Thiago Alcântara

So I have two different responses where people infer and make shit up. Read. I didn't say that. Thanks. Really? He's a super duper talent playing in a huge team that's too big for what's around them. That's another way of saying he's just playing for a powerhouse team against weaker opposition (i.e...

Re: Kaan Ayhan

His last season was solid indeed.
The current one has been... Dissapointing, to say the least.
He's not really strong mentally; he's been a bit prone to nonsense mistakes lately, and he struggles a lot to improve his performances under those circumstances.

Re: Thiago Alcântara

Should absolutely have AM as an option. And his ATT should drop. His TW as well. He's a super duper talent playing in a huge team that's too big for what's around them. And he's mostly an over passer. Even his goal came from him being desperate to pass and playing against a nothing team. He display...

Re: Joel Pohjanpalo

As I explained in the last post, Joel Pohjanpalo plays both ways without any difficulty, to further reinforce my argument I will show you the last match of the same where Bayer Leverkusen played with a 4-4-2 formation with Lucas Alario and Joel Pohjanpalo as centennials, Lucas Alario on the left an...

Re: Suat Serdar

He's much more adventurous with David Wagner's tactics, much more involved in generating scoring chances and even scoring by himself. He's exactly the kind of midfielder Huddersfield really lacked when Wagner managed The Terriers in Premier League. They were fairly competent at keeping ball possesio...

Re: Federico Chiesa

It could be, but you've probably chosen the worst thread to post it. Chiesa is quite complete for being a winger, and the current set already stresses well enough: Pace, stamina, defensive prowess, a strong shot with decent accuracy, competence for passing the ball, and a good amount of flair on the...

Re: Jefferson Lerma

He's quite loose tactically speaking, which is why he has some really underwhelming performances for Bournemouth. He surely has a fairly interesting combo of physical and technical traits, but he rarely commits himself enough to tactics, unlike the tactical discipline you would expect from a team ma...

Re: Joel Pohjanpalo

He's had small playtime in the last two years, and even still, he's seen there more as a backup CF/SS option than as a WF. He hasn't played played as WF for about four years, maybe even more. You can surely set side as B, but it is more related to his centralized role by default. You will still see ...

Re: Alexis Sánchez

I was thinking the same. In his case, it is more a matter of his injury-prone nature and his struggles to get back to a decent form after a mid-long term injury, which were already well replicated with low Form.

Yes, he does. It is like his only consistently decent contribution when attacking.

Re: Gastón Silva

He's not (and he never was) that good in attack at all, even as left-back. As a LB he can support attacks by going forward occasionally, but he clearly lacks that offensive sense to set ATT at 70 or higher. It looks like mid-60s when in an above-average form, but it doesn't happen often. The other s...

Re: Todd Cantwell

I have a similar impression of him. He's somewhat similar to _swe Forsberg; not a geniune speedster but still flamboyant on the ball, with some glimpses of creativeness and with a fairly strong and curled shot on him, yet not consistently accurate. But he's also playing one-twos with his teammates, ...

Re: Kai Havertz

He seems to be a fairly competent PK takes, but he needs a much more extended experience of converted penalties to be considered as a specialist. For instance, Aránguiz has only failed to scored +/2 twice from a pool of more than 40 penalties executed.

He's becoming quite solid in the air, mostly for winning aerial duels after goal kicks or defending at set pieces while marking the most dangerous opp player when it comes to aerial prowess. Unfortunately, he's not really proficient in that regard when it comes to attack. Just some flicks then and t...
