Re: Luis Suárez

It's quite simple, Mentality / Tenacity is one of the worst attributes in the game, its meaning is vague and it's been conceived by a total hothead. ;]

Re: Sven Bender

He's an CM because he works in the central midfield a lot and he goes forward and to the flanks. (More exactly he is between DM and CM in my eyes, so he should have both.) You can be energetic and still cover mainly the space in front of the defence (like Reinartz for example or maybe Jarolim). Wel...

So Bender is automatically CM because he's more energetic?

Way to trivialise my words.

Re: Andrés INIESTA

No, Messi is a better dribbler, Iniesta slows down to almost stroll pace and then keeps the ball away from his opponent, this he does very good, but keep in mind, it's at stroll pace, Messi does it at full speed, which is (IMO) much harder..., DA 98 is fine for Iniesta, Messi just has an edge over ...

Re: Sven Bender

You're of course right saying there are no clean borders between DMF and CMF (and that nobody actually names it). However, I think you're missing the point a bit while talking about working areas. Going by your logic, the only players that could be DMFs are Makelele-types. Remember Jeremies? He was ...

Re: Luis Suárez

I agree. Moreover, I am under an impression he's been working much more lately under Rogers, as if he would've been talked into it. STA 86 would be much more suitable.

Re: Nuri Şahin

How everybody thinks that Sahin will become a starter instead of Gündogan.^^ They are as different types as Kehl and Bender as DMFs and I think that's what Klopp is glad about now, that he has even more tactical options in the midfield. And this transfer is good for Leitner. Now there is another ba...

I don't think so, Zidane had one foot firm on the ground when he scored against Leverkusen. Jumping Volley is kicking the ball in the air while jumping, more like

Re: Artjoms Rudņevs

When he played in Poland, he spoke a few times about his nationality and his name. He said his name should be spelled Rudnev and that he feels more of a Russian than Latvian. Never said anything about his passport, unless I'm mistaken.

Re: Jakub BŁASZCZYKOWSKI

When was he positioned as CMF? What team, what match?

Of course he can play as AMF, he played as SS in a few matches some time ago in Dortmund. But it's not his natural position, he's much more useful when in vast space.

Re: How To Rate ATT/DEF Awareness Correctly

I understand. Well, it is not what is demanded from a world class side midfielder in best European leagues. That is wing-back job, I think. I admit there are many side midfielders that play this way, but most of them aren't even in PES database, I suppose.

Re: How To Rate ATT/DEF Awareness Correctly

I never said that 2/1 is a must for every AMF / SMF, just a standard value imo for a player to begin with because it's the minimum he'll get - if you find an AMF / SMF that deserves ATT aw 1 I will eat a football. And even if there aren't many players on this position rated with this awareness by K...

Re: How To Rate ATT/DEF Awareness Correctly

To me the standard awareness for AMF and SMF is 2/1. Why? Because your average joe at this position contributes very little to his team's defensive work and doesn't get into the box looking for goal scoring opportunities regularly. I don't think so. 3/3 should be very rare, with that I can agree. H...

Re: Łukasz PISZCZEK

He's much better than Marcelo, but only in some areas. Marcelo's ball control is significantly better, as well as shooting power and precision, there's no denying it. Piszczek is at least on par with Lichtsteiner, but I guess you could even compare him with Sagna and Lahm.

Re: Jakub KOSECKI

WF in my opinion. In current system he must play as an SMF, that's true. However, whether placed on the left on or the right he always want to take on defenders and cut inside to find a shooting chance or a team-mate, he rarely runs to the byline to cross. He has an eye for goal, too. A true winger.

Re: Robert LEWANDOWSKI

Falcao, Suarez, Cavani, Rooney, van Persie, Aguero, Balotelli. Do you really think he's better than them? What Klopp says is courtesy and PR. He might be in Top 20, but by no means can he be in Top 5. He is worth more than 25.000.000 euro from 10.000.000 euro in last year. In my opinion he is bette...

Re: Adrian MIERZEJEWSKI

Free Roaming should stay, he's shown an eye for goal in the last two matches. STA and EP shouldn't be lowered as well (maybe the latter, by two points). Other suggestions are reasonable.
