Re: Grzegorz LATO | 1973-1974 & 1981-1982

Updated to new PSD standards; Attack I would go with 80 for this 1974 version, if I'm scaling Szarmach to 78, it would allow Lato to be very raw but still a massive danger on account of his speed and ability to pounce on errors, and his finishing was top of the line o...

Re: Jerzy GORGOŃ | 1973-1974

Adjusted set; Attack lower, 58 or so. Defence maybe not as special as 86 implies, though he was considered one of Europe's best at the time, I think it was his size for the era and having rocket shots/passes that set him apart from others rather than his defensive wor...

Re: Władysław ŻMUDA | 1981-1982 & 1977-1978 & 1973-1974

Something like this for the 20 year old 1974 version; Defence scaled more to what a promising CB might have in non-top tier league, despite young player award in 74 WC and the praise, lots of problems in his defending/style (would play almost as a DMF getting early ta...

Re: Andrzej SZARMACH | 1974-1975

Some alterations I am thinking; Attack I have trouble with, since by 1974 in Polish league he was already pretty established scorer, and my problem is trying to envisage what the spread of CBs was in that league in the early 1970s, his team Gornik Zabrze probably had ...

Re: Ryan Telfer, Nea Salamina Famagusta

Would not lowering Form to 3 from 5 be enough if he had a bad time in Cyprus? Why all the other drops too?

He played 126 mins in 3 matches in the league and 136 mins in 2 matches in a Cup, is that enough to warrant both the Form and stats dropping?

Re: Robert GADOCHA | 1973-1974

Thinking an update for 1974/75 with these sorts of values; Lowering Aggression to have him more in the build up deep (picking up the ball from his keeper to bring it up the flank, connecting in build ups in the middle of the park from his "winger" role, but ...

I cant recall clearly but I think he had an identical type of delivery/effort last match vs Minnesota, again with his left foot -and this time they took it too early and had to do it again after whistle, both times left foot. ...for some reason my brain saying Figal in Miami did this with his left (...

Re: Inter Miami CF - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

First match was 4-5-1 with no clear direction, they did well in flashes vs LAFC away, but lacked cohesion between the segments/lines of play. vs DC United, they played a 5-4-1, and it was a much more clear performance as a collective, and really before the red card for Torres for hand ball as last m...

Re: New York City FC - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

Well that was gut punch for them, they conceded in the final second of the match, after controlling parts of the game well and being squandering chances in the first half. Tigres seemed off, their passing sometimes was SPA 50s for most players, NYCFC looked clever with their movement and interchange...

played a deeper SS role - sometimes when Tigres broke forward he was no where to be seen for a long while, I thought he was subbed out a couple times). Had nice dribble move in the box and ran into Sands wanting a pen, but a defender can't just teleport out of the way. Shooting was not on point toni...

Re: Jesse Gonzalez

I keep reading comments that he is some great keeper/talent and sometimes commentators mention his name in conversation of USMNT - but he has consistently underwhelmed me whenever I caught a full match of Dallas. Maybe he was in a rough rough run of form and it made a bad impression, I seen him a lo...

Re: Jimmy Maurer

Saved about 25% of penalties in his career, doubt he will get more play time to show it more concretely, but a candidate for the ability.

Played NASL before MLS, looked to be a very capable offensive keeper with his distribution in open play and goal kicks both leading to goals.

Re: FC Dallas - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

2019 formation added - generally this or a derivative - midfield shape changes sometimes, rarely back 3 is played with wing backs in mid. Early 2018 I think they had a more 4-2-3-1 shape before the sold Mauro Diaz their playmaker, after Lucho tinkered around and by seasons end they had, this, at lea...

Re: Cristian Colmán

This is a rough set, I did not see many (any?) full matches with him just scoured youtube and clips, some things like passing I am unsure of, just that there was nothing of note (more misplays than good). Fast, and a able to finish with head or a clean strike, his problem is that at ML...

Re: Zdeněk Ondrášek

Touched some values, overall set is good. He played maybe 200 mins in the first 3/4ths of the season, I have no idea what was the issue (was not injured), Luchi Gonzalez just simply did not like him for the #9 spot - Jesus Ferreira a teenager was favoured often over the veteran. Then everything chan...
