Re: Wil Trapp

I posted him last summer but site had problems and he got deleted it seems. I am not doing another long write up with links - cant recall it. Just a good draft pickup by Miami, been a solid performer for Columbus for years. Him and Ulloa as a base in the mid will be secure, good foundation to build ...

Re: Tommy Smith, Colorado Rapids

Besides that EXCELLENT header I linked above he scored 6 headers in two seasons with the Rapids, and a lot of posts/saved/near misses. Always a danger on set plays. I think the defensive know how is there, just tackles can be bleh and he can switch off (this I need to balance with him rising up when...

Re: Atlanta United FC - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

That 4-2-3-1 was used by them away to the Honduran side - I think I heard that de Boer wants to play their 3-5-2 (the moves in the market seems to indicate that - WB additions, though recently got some Argentine winger). It was a backline of; ------------------------Guzan Mo Adams ---- Walkes --- Me...

Re: Los Angeles FC - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

Bob Bradley either arrogant or has too much faith in all his players - even when the squad looks unfit and is missing 2-3 starters due to injury. He played them like normal - this IS VERY FRUSTRATING - since its as if they have not learned from their past repeat failures. They seem to have only one ...

Re: Impact de Montréal - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

2019, season 2 for Remi Garde was more of the same in formation/tactics so I don't want to add new images since any minor tweaks were match dependant. The 5-4-1 was used away sometimes, especially since injuries were a constant problem robbing continuity in personnel. This was generally the starters...

Re: New York Red Bulls - Formation & Tactics / Team Discussion Thread

updated formation a little, it stayed mostly the same idea under Armas - to me his blunder with the team was trying to tweak them into a possession side that would methodically break down opponents - they labour too much at it. The team was built and prospers in their high press in bursts, forcing t...

Re: Tim Parker

updated/adjusted def.

had a poor season - really long stretches of poor form compared to 2018 - though whole team was struggling; injuries, Armas tweaking the team in the wrong way away from their natural strengths.

Re: Amro Tarek Abdel-Aziz

Updated a little. Unfortunately his body keeps breaking down this last season - for me he has the ability to be one of the leagues best defenders, if he can get a full season under his belt.

Re: David Raagaard Jensen

He has a real quality in distributing the ball, I watched a match away vs Ajax (Utrecht won vs the side that went to semis in Champions League) and he was consistently playing out with confidence to fullbacks 40-50 meters out on touch line. His ground passing too looks fast for a keeper/secure. Catc...

Too good for USL not quite able to solidify his spot in an MLS side.

Re: Rodolfo Pizarro

was listening to some MLS podcast and the talking heads (some ppl were Liga MX followers) were saying he has been bery inconsistent for Monterrey, and really only shines in Champions League vs weaker teams or with Mexico again vs weaker opponents. They say that he is skilled, but his head ain't righ...

Re: Kyle Duncan

Played well enough to bench Murillo ultimately - and probably motivation to sell him - an improvement defensively over the Panamanian. Fast - uses his speed intelligently, Murillo was too stupid to maximize his physical abilities.

Re: Cristian Cásseres Jr.

highly rated teen - well 20 year old now - runs the mid well. Has some bite to him winning balls back and can release quick, pacey with the ball able to drive up the field.

Has scored 4 penalties our of 4 - something to keep tabs on for star.

Re: Josh Sims

on loan from Southhampton as a DP - first time I seen a loanee made a DP. The speed is based off watching him in England - specifically vs Robertson of Liverpool - as watching him here I judged him like TS 78-82 ACC 85ish maybe. I only seen him a little in MLS so it could be a lack of data. Though h...

Re: Vincent Bezecourt

Red Bulls let him go. I am unsure why, since when I did see him I thought he was tidy player on the ball..maybe him yo-yo-ying between Red Bulls II and the MLS team was all the office could see and that at 26 he would have made a bigger leap?? Though they kept Florian Valot who has had 2 consecutive...

I did not get to see much of him when he was in MLS, but since he left I have been watching more of Vancouver's past matches and got to see a little more, nothing comprehensive but he looked bad as DMF even in MLS. I went with values; Attack 56 Defence 67 Stamina 79 Top Speed 78 Acceleration 73 Agil...
