Petrovic is right-footed, has a great vision, skill, precise pass, superior in the air, creative and his firmness in tackles is one of his main characteristics. Started his career at Jedinstvo Ub, continued playing at Radnicki Obrenovac and moves to Partizan Summer `08. He also made three apps for Serbian U-21 side. He is adored by Partizan supporters as, stating Petrovic himself : if he wasn`t a professional footballer, he would be one of the top guys on the South stand.

For now, this stats are quite good. If I raise his aggression he will play more forward and that is not the case with this guy. He is (still) in DMF role.

Revision :

* AGILITY : 75, -2 points
Looks very stiff at his position DM, cant turn quite good, many balls lost because of it... Down by 2, on Predrag Djorjdevic level.
* DRIBBLING ACCURACY : 71, -1 point
Not so dribbling oriented at the end, surely not on same level as Djordje Ivelja is. One point decrease, on level with Ljubomir Fejsa.
* SHORT PASS ACCURACY : 71, -3 points
Well, tbh, this is one of the parameters that dissapointed me a lot. At start, i thought his short passes will be almost as good as Fejsa's, but he plays only short, straight balls. Every time he tries to pass a longer ball, he miss...
* LONG PASS ACCURACY : 68, -2 points
Same goes for long passes. He has the speed but lacks accuracy
* FK ACCURACY : 63, -5 points
Overrated - he never does that, and when he does, shot is sky high. Value of 63 is around Igor Duljaj value.
* SWERVE : 71, -3 points
His shots has far more power then curl. On Ljubomir Fejsa level.
* AGGRESSION : 66, -3 points
He rarely goes into attacks or counters, he is obbeying formation rules and mainly stays on his half. Because of his heading ability, he sometimes appear in the box for corners of side FKs, but Attack @61 covers it right.
* TEAM WORK : 78, -2 points
He is strongly devoted to his team, but he just cant read his team moves very well. He tries it is evident but need more minutes in first team to adjust himself. For now, imo he is leveled with Ognjen Koroman and Predrag Djordjevic.

"precise passing", as you stated in your description don't go along well with the actual passing stats you gave him.

FKA doesn't need such a drastic drop even if he's not good at it... he won't be dangerous with a 68 either anyways.

his attack is incredibly low for a midfielder... is he really that terrible at contributing to attacking moves?

This text is from official Partizan site. Sadly, it doesnt represent his skills. He doesnt perform FKs at all so I really went under with it because dont want a PC or PS2 player to even consider him as a FK taker.
He is rarely in attack, only in a box for a jump etc. I honestly dont know what he is doing in our national team when we have such a quality players for that position...

that's a NT player?! :shock:

regarding FKs... a 68 isnt gon make him a good fk taker anyhow... but every player can do some sort of fks even if they are very simple ones.

A little update - after his display vs Japan in a friendly match and one concerning his shoot precision from a far. Also a small boost in a DS since he showed better dribbling abilities then presented earlier. FKA / FKS remained the same. I still don't remember him taking any...

Believe me that most of the people here does not either ... I mean, until Fejsa got injured, he was rarely in a first squad in Partizan and still made it in NT. I guess they are eagerly want to sell him at the end of the season etc. :D

OT: its a shame that Markovic of Medias got severly injured this season. He showed a great progress and has fantastic attributes for a CB that could've definately benefitted Serbia in the long run as he was close to a romanian top club too.

Another player with interesting features is Mili from Fc Vaslui... very quick and technical fella ;)

For now, nt coach Antic will not change his squad until September at least when Euro 2012 qual will start. I guess he, or his successor, will checkout many new players. I will be glad to see some of them from Romanian league too, but first thing to do is to find a regular, decent goalkeeper. One of my favorites is Jorgacevic, keeper at AA Gent. He is done a fantastic job this season, was regular and his club is doing great with Anderlecht and Brugge around - for Serbia, surely more then Stojkovic at Wigan or Isailovic in Zaglebie....

What do you think about giving him *Tactical Dribble? From what I've seen during the past 6 months or so, he showed very good ball keeping skill and he's reacted quite cool under the pressure (he sometimes annoys me with this, because he even does it in his own box, although I have to admit he's pretty good at it). Off course, I agree with assigning him P13: Long Ranger (when he joins attack, he often searches for free space to try and send a long range shot). Also, I would suggest raising his DA: 76-->78 (I really think he can even be worthy of 79, 1 point over Milijaš, but that's just my opinion, maybe emphasized more due to Milijaš's slow decline during past 6 months).

Besides all this, I would suggest update in his LPA: 72-->75 (2 points under Moreira, who has LPS: 81; looking at Premiership ladders he would be on the same level as Johnny Evans or Park Ji-Sung). Imo, he showed great progress in this ability during the past 6 months, and I think he deserves low green value.
