From 1984 until the end of his career as player in 1991 Klaus Augenthaler also captained his club side.

Between 1983 and 1990 he played 27 times for the German National Football Team, with which he won the World Cup 1990 in Italy in the final against Argentina (1-0). He was also part of the side that reached the finals of the 1986 World Cup, but there he only participated in two group matches.

After watching the 1982 European cup final today he didn't look this slow imo, he actually build up speed if he wanted to when he made runs down the centre. You wouldn't really associate a libero with such low speed and technical stats anyway. Long passing acc looked closer to low yellows as well. Constantly played superb long passes to Rummenigge and Uli Hoeness. Candidate for Extra attacker and pinpoint pass.

Just watched that 1982 EC Final game against Aston Villa and totally agree with the fact that his long passing was superb. So why do you rate him so low on LPS and LPS? Not arguing your point, just want to know what I am missing in the rating system.
