Talented young player, usually plays as a winger and also capable of playing as a striker. Young has natural ability and explosive pace with good skill on the ball, Young likes to run at defenders and has the ability to whip in dangerous crosses. Signed last season during the transfer window from Watford where he was their star player and identified as a player with a very bright future. He made a encouraging start last season and made 14 appearances and scored 2 goals, he has been capped 10 times for the under-21 England national side and was recently called up to the full national squad for the first time..

Too bad he has developed such a TERRIBLE mentality in his game. He's easily upset and angered, often unfocused and get's obsessed a lot.
Also HATE how he has stopped putting in crosses, instead he just runs into players and loses possesion.

Attack: 76 -> 79
His attack is better than 76, simple and plain.

Teamwork: 84 -> 81
Has become a lot more selfish as of late, and often ends up waiting too long before playing the ball, ending in lost possession.

I disagree to his attack, his positioning really isn't that good, he shouldn't be above someone like Steven Pienaar, I think the current value suits him nicely.

I got impressed with him against Wolves yesterday.I've watched the game, and he was the most eletric player on the pitch. I got impressed with his pace and dribbling skills. Maybe Mazing Run card?

I think his WFF could come down to a 4 maybe even a 3 as with a 5 he seems to always cross with his left foot in game rather than cut back onto his right before crossing which is more like the real life Ashley Young

Would you say it was more SS than AMF..? Got a few changes in mind for him anyway. Mainly, Dribble Accuracy 85, Long Pass Accuracy 87/88, Shot Accuracy 76/77 and could he not have incisive run? I agree with what you've said about his Weak Foot stats too.

I think so, would an AMF get into that position to miss that header from Agbonlahor's cross? I don't know :| Also at times last night he played really far forward up alongside Agbonlahor almost like an out and out strike partner. Either way looking forward to an update Jez ;)

SS no doubt. He has way more freedom than an AMF, aswell as playing further forward.
And I agree to lowering WFF.

I remember earlier in the season he said he hoped to be used in a more advanced role higher up the pitch.

I think this sums up whats wrong with this place, this is a fantastic website and idea but My what so many overrated players, especially in the premiership! Ashley Young is not that good

Balance: 75

What? more like 65, easily brushed off the ball!

Dribble Accuracy: 84
Dribble Speed: 88

82, 85 for me, he's ok, nothing special at running at players!

Short Pass Accuracy: 82
Short Pass Speed: 81

Now this is completely ridiculous. Should be 70-72 for both, what is he a cultured player? the guy is just a cross merchant!

Long Pass Accuracy: 90
Long Pass Speed: 85

Should be 85, his crossing is pretty good, wouldn't say exceptional,

Shot Accuracy: 75

Again, that's high even! 70 at the most, 67-70

Shot Power: 82

Should be 75-78

Shot Technique: 77

Anything higher that 75 is generous!

Free Kick Accuracy: 84

Madness, he's scored a few but he's no specialist! should be 79!

Header: 70
Jump: 72

should be int he 50's

Technique: 84

debatable, possibly 81 I'd say

Mentality: 81

Wow, again, why so high? 73 at the most for me!

Team Work: 84

Again 80 at the most!

Consistency: 6

Should be 5!

It's not just ashley Young, it's a whole raft of players who have these very high, generic ratings which is a shame! It's spoiling that PESedit patch and others out there!

The only thing I agree with, is lowering Long Pass Accuracy, and even then, I'd rate it above you're 85 and have him at an 87. In fact, since I'm here, I'll update the first post :)
