With the response revolution upon us...I definitely at least want to hear from possibly Felipe and others regarding Ambrosini. I thought an 86 response was about right when it was only 2 points behind Cambiasso. Now that Cambiasso is at a 93, maybe it could even go up a couple?? Unfortunately I don't have a lot of thoughts about Ambrosini.

I just want to point out some stats that will accompany his response stats(in comparison to Flamini):
Defence: 79(3 higher than Flamini)
Balance: 85(5 higher)
Top Speed: 78(2 lower)
Acceleration: 76(3 lower)
Mentality: 88(3 lower)
Team Work: 86(2 lower)
*Covering(Doesn't have)
*Reaction(Flamini doesn't have)
*Sliding(Flamini doesn't have)

well.. honestly, I am not sure Ambro should be higher than Gattuso.. Gattuso isn't perfect at timing but that's is mainly given by his human nature.. he's ferocious.. that's why he many times 'mistimes' tackles.. but it's much more complex than that.. and Gattuso is probably one of those player you will never replicate in a game realistically..

but anyway..

compared to Flamini.. I'd only increase his mentality (again) a small bit.. (I will have to look at ladders).. and probably TW could be on level with him at least.. Ambro's understanding of team moves is really good..

im surprised that his Attack rating isn't being commented...

he can score some goals, and have done it alot lately (not just last milan's game).... he is always inside the box, as for shooting, as for heading.

i suggest a 72 for attack, maybe even more...

I don't think that his attack should be over the 70's, so I am for +1\2 maximum. By the way positioning star is needed (just see how many goals from heading inside the area)

agree on *positioning.
ambro is on ATK:68 AGG:75 and has got *reaction

then flamini's atk is on 74,pirlo's 75 and beckham's 76

flamini's aggression is 77
pirlo's aggr is on 61 (due for his role)
beckham's agg is 75

none of the three has got *reaction

i think that moving ambro up to ATK 71-72 would keep a good atk/def ratio on himself 71-72/79.

to balance is moving on the field i think that AGG could came down to 74 ,1 point lesser then beckham.

ATK:71-72 (+3/+4)
AGG:74(-1)

up.
imo positioning is really needed,is a star useful for players good on dead ball situations, and he actually is.

interesting discussion. I'm also not sure about positioning* for Ambro, we could make the same arguement for many CBs, Panucci, Burdisso, Materazzi, Vidic, Ivanovic, Terry, etc. IMO a raise in attack is sufficient, plus he has good physical stats like jump and header. Is there a reason for reaction*? He joins the attack like any normal CMF would and should, but his timing and movement is nothing impressive. I'm also wondering about defence value. If we're agreed to lowering Gattuso to 77, and we agree Gattuso is perhaps slightly better positionally, then Ambro could sit well at 75/76. At this point he'd still be better than or level with many serie A CBs. thoughts?

i will just quote my post from the gattuso thread..

HitMan wrote:i disagree with lowering his DEF so much, if you put him that low he will be way too close to SB's, and its pretty clear that any DMF is ALOT better in a CB position and defensively playing than the best SB's, the same goes for ambrosini..

this was proven by barca and Yaya Toure, and i really dont see why gattuso one of the greatest defensive players in his DMF position should be so low in DEF and so close to SB's, he should definitely be closer to a CB and not to a SB when it comes to DEF values..

i would keep ambrosini at 79, or just maybe slight reduction to 78, but definitely no lower than that!

He's not even a real DMF but he has above average defence for DMFs :?

Yes,this DEF decrease should be fair imo.
1st cause of ladders placement, second because he's a foulish tackler and with the *Sliding star a lower DEF might help a little too...
*reaction should stay, cause he does this late runs in the box to collect crosses and also shows this in a "panic mode" when milan is chasing a game....
In my opinion *Positioning is a must,no matter if you are a Defender or a Midfielder,he actually has got the behaviour that the star represents,so i stick my previous....
summarizing:

ATK @ 71 (zuo,BECKS23LA,bff,Hitman) [Nico90]
DEF @ 76 (zuo,Rfuna,Nico90) [Hitman]
AGG @ 74 (zuo,Nico90)
*Positioning (zuo,Nico90,tejesjani,Alex10,BECKS23LA)[Hitman] ?Rfuna?

blah, do as you will with the DEF, ill just keep him gattuso, toure, cambiasso and quite a few other DMF's rated "high" in DEF in my OF..

its just my opinion that solid DMF's should have high seventies in DEF to further distance them from SB's, if you guys dont agree then it doesnt matter, you take the easy way, lower him and gattuso instead of rasing most other DMF's :D

you can ignore my disagree then because its just something that im thinking on a global scale about DMF's, my scale is just rated a bit higher :P
