2002-2003 is certainly wrong time for Lehman at his peak, it has to be Lehman from 2005-2006 season(CL record without conceeding plus penalty that he's stopped in semi-finals). ;)

Its for the unbeaten season team ;).

If you mean Arsenal unbeaten season, it was 2003-2004 ;) No offense mate, but in 2002-2003 season Arsenal's first GK was Seaman(his last season in Arsenal), and Lehmann was signed by Arsenal in the summer of 2003.
Still, imo his best season was 2005-2006, as he didn't concede a single goal in CL from 22.3.2005. (Bayern scored in QF 1st leg) trough all CL 2005-2006 season.Although Arsenal lost final match to Barcelona 2-1, it was Almunia who conceded both goals after Jens was sent off. He's kept clean sheet for more than 850 mins in CL! ;)

Sorry about that, hopefully Brezza can change the title as it was meant for the Unbeaten season team ;).

Totally agree with you. 2005-06 was his best season.

I've got to agree, he was phenomenal in the 05-06 season. He made some fantastic saves and was generally brilliant all round, he even kept Kahn out of the 2006 World Cup squad. More importantly, look at the highlights of when Arsenal played Real Madrid in the CL that year, Lehmann made an almost impossible fingertip save.

The one from Raul?

Alf Ramsey: "I'll be watching you for the first 45 minutes and if you don't work harder I'll pull you off at halftime."
Rodney Marsh: "Crikey Alf, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea."

Indeed, that save made me see Lehmann in an entirely new light to before. Previously, I had seen him as an overly-aggressive keeper who had barged past me after a match, after that save I started to watch his technical skills closely and I realised how astute a signing he truly was (54 Clean Sheets in 147 League appearances is a pretty decent record)

Add to that the comedy value of watching him at defensive corners

You do know that before he joined Arsenal, he was famed for being one of the best at dealing with defensive corners? :D

Yes definately he was amazing that season nocked Kahn out the the German NT. The penalty save against Riquelme, he was so safe that season. He saved penalties in big games ;)

Lehmann didn`t knock Kahn ou - Klinsmann knock Kahn out.

But it`s right to create him in a classic take the season 05-06

you know what I mean. lehmann wasn`t the better goalkepper than Kahn 2006.
Klinsmann wanna play with Lehmann at the world cup and "killed" Kahn.

Oh I get you, yes it shocked me that Lehmann was picked over the great Kahn but Lehmann had a great second half of the season.
