Great set for this future wonderkid.
However I'm not sure if it's the editor, but Awareness should be like for most SBs: 2/2.

definitely one for the future. southampton's academy has a zillion of quality players on them. ward-prowse is one to keep an eye on.

Luke Shaw is already one of the best full backs in the premiership. He has something that is hard to teach, positional awareness, he's a very good player.

need massive tweak.
how he control the ball, speed while dribble, close control dribble(messi-que), positioning himself, tackling. really great considering his age.
even Manchester City and united want him.

i'd rate him at TW similar to LIcht, 83-84, not an exceptional tackler, but rarely out of position while defending.

not sure I'd go that high, but on reflection 78 puts him below Dave, which is unfair, changed to 82

He's confirmed on his official twitter account that he's now a Manchester United player, SkySports also reporting it as done as well.

Edit: Looks like he's removed it from his bio. Probably has to wait for Southampton or Man United to make an official announcement.

Having watched him now, I actually think his technical skills aren't very good, his ball control fine at 76, and dribbling possibly lower then this 78 even, but he's such a great defensive player imo, great response, great defense... and he's a smart valuable player going forward despite being a little limited skill wise.

He really looks terrific defensively, which i love to see in a full back. There's too many wannabe wingers masquerading as fullbacks these days. This guy is actually brilliantly solid at defending in every aspect. For now i'll stick him in greens.. which is exceptional for fullbacks these days.. but i wonder if he even deserves more.

technical skill wise though, i actually think he's pretty average if not maybe slightly below average compared to fullbacks comparable of his overall level. His intelligence and calm ability to pick good passes out of bad situations makes up for it though. He's not a bad passer, i like alot of Stu's suggestions, like SPA/SPS, BB, Stamina, I see the sense in the DS value too. I think the long passing is considerably excessive to be at 84 LPA, amongst some other differences.

my impressions on him

if i was impulsive as i usually am, i would update that right now. i'm pretty satisfied with what i've seen to be enough, though i'll try to watch some matches and see him through 90 minutes or so fully. I'm far too lazy for that kind of effort these days but i'll make an exception (or at least try).

When he plays for united... he's going to look like a superstar due to the contrast in defensive ability between him and evra, it's like night and day, one of the worst and one of the most promising regarding defense.

If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

Nice to hear a big club actually managed to sign a fullback that can defend. The price tag is a bit worrying though, I don't know if he'll manage to live up to the expectations so much money can create. Look at what happened to Coentrao in Madrid, and Coentrao was "only" €25M.

great set, I've updated all but DA and RES (though still raised it), whilst I no longer agree with the 81 I suggested I do feel he is better than 75 for DA, also on RES, feel need to think about it more, 82 does put him 2 points above dave

Isn't his ATT and DEF too high? I'm talking about balance between these stats. There are offensive SB's and defensive SB. There are not a lot of sidebacks with both ATT and DEF with over 70, just few on all database (Lahm, A.Cole from his prime). and this kid is just 18 yo.
