it is amazing how some players' talents begin to show up at a late age, barzagli is a prime example, this guy has been outstanding in this Euro to prove his worth and fine form at Juventus, if he keeps his form to the champions league, I would not be surprised if my Juve win it next season, knock on wood, haha. But I cannot wait to see his defense in orange if you update him, Bonnucci deserves a raise as well!

think he is a tad too high in some areas, his def is great but not quite a 90 IMO, same goes for his response( i seriously fail to see that 84 but i guess im missing something ) and the teamwrok is too high far away anyone, konami doesnt rate CB's that high. Personally i play him with 89 def, resp 82, and 80 tw. As a side note i noticed his long passing is horrible, he couldnt hit the target ever in the euro, i'd decrease it some points too

for me, i'd rate his DEF at 88 and leave TW as it is, he's probably one of the best there when it comes to keeping shape of the d-line.

Maybe I'm not a 100% truly source here. But based if what I have watched on him, specially at Euro, few games with Juve and when he was at BL and before in Palermo. He is a good defender, share Cale view that he is very ordened defender, very smart and applied. But I disagree with actual DEF value, I see him in 87. Nothing more. Fine with current RES, and TW is high but probably deserved on what I have said in the first part of my post.

Was analyzing all his defensive behavior in all aspects that is why I said 87. Don't get me wrong. Find him a very good defender. Top international class but not WC. Looks better due all defensive tactic and displays that all teams that he plays for have. If cleaness is your problem give him *Slide tackle star/card. End of it.

If you cant tell barzagli is 88+ having "analyzed" every aspect of his defending then i cant get you wrong, i take you as ignorant. But lets hear whats the aspect you consider he is not "world class" to you ?

him not having slide tackle for good reasons makes him even deserve more that 88+ def, 90 is a little exagerated though, although he is excellent, he is not a type of player who goes and simply tackles and wins the ball, doesnt have that ease.

He has been rock-solid this season for Juventus and surely one of the best CBs in Seria A.
So my suggestion is:
1.His Defense is pretty good but 90 is way, way too much for him. I've followed half of Juve's games this season and I'd rate him at 88 Defense. He's a very good defender but giving him 90 ... is a lot.

Fine about def.. but what about res/tw combo? He's often perfectly placed but I actually don't know if it's a response issue or a tw one, since he leaves his position to make some of good interceptions... but this can be considered a high-tw movement since he supports the team with good timed anticipations..
