Just having a look at the names of Citys players, you'd automatically think it should be one of the best teams in history. But that is just not the chase.

you can't just buy 25 odd quality players and expect them to be the best in history

Not one of the best in history, but they are easily one of the best in the world. The only problems they had were the lack of Tevez, which has been solved. They are atm so far ahead of any other team in their league. Though their defense isn't that great because the midfield players arent so strong in defense.. they need de rossi.

I'm convinced that with a manager like Mourinho (??) they'd really be one of the best teams.
If they'd play Yaya Toure as a real DMF, they'd have no prolems with the midfield. Back at Barca he was a monster DMF.

I said just by looking at the names. It's a different matter how the team got built up.

Yaya was a good player at Barça, and fared well wherever he was fielded (as DMF, as box to box CMF, as emergency CB) but he mostly used his impressive physique to make up for his lack of tactical intelligence and defensive proweness. He seems to have improved in those regards while at City, although in terms of mere physique he doesn't seem to be as imposing as before.

It was a reference to Sir Alex Ferguson saying "not in my lifetime" when asked about Manchester City winning the league. It's actually pretty funny. It just seems in poor taste because Ferguson is 70. Moreover, Tevez didn't make the sign. Surely an obvious fact given that he can barely speak English. He picked it up from some City fans that threw it onto the bus during the parade.

Just another case of the media stirring up a non-issue.

Hey mods, don't you think this set represents his 2 best seasons in City (2009-10 and 2010-11) instead his current form? since he have played so little this season and hasn't been nothing special. What about freezing the set and moving to the classics? http://ns2.pesstatsdatabase.com/viewtop ... 88&t=17516

in the match against Arsenal, I saw Tevez lighter ... there was a time when accelerated in an outstanding manner. got rid of the defender's mark, thanks to its acceleration and bulk, could say that taking up the physical fitness
minut 0:25 and minut 3:05

even though he was out for 6 months, he returned in pretty much the same condition, fatter but still mostly the same. a little less agility and acc, but the rest is mostly fine, spa probaby a little under-rated

Tevez has a good pass ... it is neat like Silva, Nasri or Yaya but is good,
Tevez is now returning to his optimum physical condition

I think he could also be the LINES, makes cuts to the defense very well, maybe not a frequent but Aguero is just as good, the detail is that last season did not play much, but now is recovering, he and Aguero are a formidable duo

today was an oak, nothing nobody could topple.
the only way was through faults, and scored a beautiful goal.
I seemed to see faster, and lighter weight considerably lower ..

Thing is we never lowered his stats when he came back from his golfing holiday overweight and un-fit. Now he's probably just back in the shape that he was when these stats were made so I don't think there's much need for discussion. When he was with us he always looked faster during pre-season for some reason.

Tevez may be coming back to his best and may have scored a nice goal against Chelsea, but really, some values could be decreased. TS 84 seems too much for him. David Luiz is only at TS 82 but is easily faster than Tevez. Luiz even matched Aguero for pace. STA 94 is also too high, in my eyes. It is no longer the all action Tevez of old. what do you guys think?

I honestly did some tweaks to this set,
maybe an increase in ACC (85), with reduction of TS (83) ..
pass skills could be so
Short pass accuracy: 81
Short pass speed: 82

he must have better pass than Agüero
in terms of precision, was greatly demonstrated what can Tevez
but I do not advance .. I will leave there for while.
in terms of TECH 86 bit I think, death of the ball is good, at the last match received various air balls and "kill" very well, without any effort, maybe 88 would be fine.
