Jordy Clasie

Energetic Dutch midfielder who plays for Feyenoord Rotterdam. He is part of the current Dutch U-21 Squad.
He was loaned to Feyenoord neighbors, Excelsior, to gain experience. Was a key member of his team, showing good things in his first season at the highest level of Dutch football. He has the ability to pass the ball well, being capable of delivering dangerous passes that break the opposing defense. Despite his short stature, played in a deepest position in the midfield of Excelsior, as 'deep-lying playmaker'. He was the best passer of the team, alongside Koolwijk. He was also the second option for free kicks and corner kick taker in Excelsior after Koolwijk.

He never really looked particularly speedy to me.

And according to Koeman he is still not able to play the full 90 minutes.

Great stats I do feel that his attack could sit at 70 but 71 is fine too, Koeman has been playing him at DMF.

Today his RESP/MENT was pretty good, but maybe he was just more fired up because of the game. Also he didnt seem really weak. He was stronger then Eriksen on several occasions.

Again, I feel his RESP and MENT could be in the 80s. He is alert and doenst give up. Quality player in my opinion.

He plays very well and is a reliable DM. I think his defence could very well be on a value like 68/69. For such a small guy his balance is also not that bad, can be 76 or so. Resp and Ment could use a little raise too.

Yeah, I would like to give him a little update where his STA/TS/ACC go down a little and his "mental" traits go up, together with his BB. Also his AGI is just average for such a small guy I guess.

Good point; I would go for STA -1 and TS/ACC -2, MEN +2/3. At the moment Clasie is one of the more determined Feyenoord players despite his young age

Agree with Balance and Response in the yellows. Those are his main attributes.

Defense is also slightly underrated. Jordy is a surprisingly effective and clean tackler (66/67 at least).

Speed stats seem a bit too high compared to El Ahmadi.

Just a note: Willem van Hanegem showed on a Dutch TV show 'VI' Clasie playing a lovely trough ball to Fernandez against Ajax worthy of a yellow SPA. This aint a suggestion just a note.

He is indeed a good passer. He is a reliable controlling midfielder with a good vision.

It was a beautiful pass. IMO his passing and tech deserves to be at least on par with Elm.

In the current set he's still too weak and speedy.

I suggest:

ATT: 68
DEF: 70
TS: 74-76
ACC: 77-78
RES: 81
AGI: 77
MENT: 80

Remove Enforcer?

Watched him again playing for Feyenoord. I dont know how I gave him yellows for Agility, Top Speed and Acceleration :? I agree with people said before that he's quite alert and good on stealing balls, that's why I swapped his ATT/DEF ratio to a more defensive style, but keeping his Attacking intelligence intact, imo. His long pass may get a short raise too, worth of keep an eye on.

Return to “Feyenoord”
