I agree with S-Cobar
But raise response by one point or two points because he saved the 2 dm22 one on one situations and saved a lot of one on one situations . Form 7 he shows great performances since the season started . If he regains his top performance and plays well in all matches you shall give him cond 8 .

I agree with a red defence value, and 94 goalkeeping, but not higher than 92 response. Buffon has the wisdom and prudence to be unfailingly sure of the situationally appropriate techniques of goalkeeping. He does not have the body and relfexes of his former self at 34 though, and it can be seen that whenever he makes an outstanding save, It is due to impeccable anticipation, timing, composure, and a great position to stop the shot to begin with rather than lightning response. Many goalies rated higher than buffon in response may react to the ball quicker, but their lack of defensive, goalkeeping, and mental skills already nullify any responsive advantage over Buffon.

Whereas immature, or lesser knowing, extremely responsive goalie such as Mandanda, Dikan, Jiminez or Given may be able to cover much more ground to reach a shot before Buffon can, these saves may look impressive on the first viewing, but later can be seen to be spectacular, but slightly unneccesary. Buffon may be able to make the same save on the same shot, but covering less ground in the same or even less time due to positioning and goalkeeping skills. The most accurate Buffon should have red defense, and high orange or low red goalkeeping (95), but not high orange values for response. Buffon should stay at 91 response, on par with Szczesny, and Diego Alves, and one higher than Vorm, Gomes and De Gea, which is flattering to be honest.

The set is fine, he could have higher KS, indeed having updated his set, scobar have him on 95. My vote is still for higher though, but i understand the low value

i disagree strongly with this set.
i paid much respect to s-cobar as a goalkeeper stat-maker (surely better than i do) and as a long time mate ,
but he's not this good. i mean , buffon is coming back to a good level , not even close to how GODLY he was (and this makes me wonder how then should be rated his classic around '06 seasons). though i agree he should have a godly stamina for a keeper. he's truly a leader and never ending fighter.

to make an example , with this set he's better than '09 Julio Cesar , and he's (currently) not very close to him .

i know that with this i'm going to throw a real stone but..... just look at other keepers: atm i can't really see Marchetti far away from him
(see the overall season , not the ,anyway big, mistake vs juventus) . marchetti showed some truly grat saves (buffon was overall less active in game , having a mostly possesssion+attacking team). marechetti is rated def 84 and res 88.
a thing i'm sure about , marchetti's RES is better than buffon's. i'm not really sure buffon's RES should stay over high yellows.

you are right, there are various GK, which have better RESP,than the same Buffon, and they aren´t considered as such. the only thing that considered of Buffon, is his location and reading game is great.
maybe your response should go down or raise the rest of the GK, if the scale revolves around Buffon
and Marchetti's example there are several more, maybe not have they all location and low defense, but their reactions are amazing.

I think this too, for me Buffon is def:95, res: 92 and ks: 94.
No one of the current keepers for me deserve a red value in ks, im my opinion the bests in this aspect are Buffon, Cech and Neuer with 94. About res I think 92 is ok.

@Zuo - take a view to to my alternative stats thread. there are a lot of GKs who are updated. just with a new defintion, based mostly on PES 2012, cause Konami changed their style of play. we can even talk over PM or on FB about it. and marchetti haven`t a new set yet

I think Buffon is still above all other goalkeepers in terms of safe hands, the way he punches and parries the ball to safety is unmatched, even when the shots are powerful. As if GKS determines how strong a keepers hands are. His handling was never below god region IMO. He's so good at that he doesn't need high response nor he possesses it. He anticipates mostly by experience rather than reflexes.
