I think it was best to remove 1-1 Keeper than Penalty Saver.

I disagree. If nothing else, he deserves 1v1-stopper more than PS. Obvious reasons for that. YES, he does move into the same direction as the shots, but there are almost equal shots where he either jumps the wrong way or doesn't save the ball even if it hits him.

I can barely remember the last time he actually DID save a penalty shot... He's been more impressive with 1v1's than PS, hence why he doesn't deserve PS. Not now anyway.

Don't know why Pepe doesn't sit on a 90 on SP. He can easily put a lot of power in his kicks. If Van der sar sits on a 90 there's no reason why Pepe isn't on the same level or even above that.

Yup, not only can he hit it long, but also very accurately as already discussed many times in this forum. I'm not entirely sure why it was changed to be honest, I'm sure people had their reasons, but it's pretty plain to see he matches that of other keepers on a shot power of 90 such as Foster and Akinfeev. Actually the similarities between the latter and Reina's kicking is frighteningly similar.

Reina is a good goalkeeper. one of the best in this world. 88 for keeper skills is about correct for him.

Agree. I also think his RES should come down. I don't find him this crazy in terms of reflexes anymore.. not on par with Valdes for example and there shouldn't be a big gap, if any, between him and Hart at all (there were talks of raising Hart to a 92). So I think he should come down by one or two points.

-1 to both Response and KS for now, then? To be honest KS could go down a bit further, maybe two points or so.

i would give him much better LPA and LPS . loved the way he blasted his passes in to the opposition area.nice one against bolton where he made an absolute beauty to maxi .so accurate and great speed. with current lpa+pls(considering his sp) that's impossible in game.as a note , he does that quite often !

Agree. As a whole, I'd say we underrate Passing for Goalkeepers. I mean, many of them can play better balls out from the back than some Center Halves. I remember being majorly impressed by Julio Cesars long passing a few years back in a game for Brazil I wathched. They weren't just 'good for a keeper', they were just good fullstop.

Valdés has just been given LPA 72 and LPS 78... and I don't think he's better than Reina in terms of long passing. Reina could easily get his LPA into low greens (75 maybe) and LPS as high as Valdés or even more (79?).

I've forgotten what values I gave de vries who I'd say is inferior to reina in long passing though superior in short

You could argue that Goalkeepers have a far superior range of long passing than most outfield players do. You've just got to judge whether when a Keeper plays a ball upfield they are 'pressing square (Shot Power)' or 'holding circle (Long Pass)'

There are differences in their style of long passes though, considering that "long passing" is aerial passing in PES. Reina is, without a doubt, a stunningly accurate "long passer" from goal-kicks and will set-up goals (just like he did on the weekend) from them. Whereas Valdes is a keeper who plays his long passes like Jens Lehmann used to; he won't set up a goal from a long hoof downfield, but he'll purposefully play neat short aerial passes and chipped balls to the full-backs and midfielders to initiate attacks (Hence the interesting figure that Lehmann was an instigator of more goals for Arsenal in 05/06 than Bergkamp, Ljungberg, and Rosicky combined). So what I am saying is, you have to consider the variance of aerial passing style when discussing potential long passing values.

And Jez is also spot on about the whole square/circle thing. It's why we incorporate such high shot power values in our keepers.

The official site says he is 92 kg, which seems more reasonable. Also weight does play a role ingame, so it would be nice to update him.
