Mestre Manuel Torres was a Spanish footballer. Born in Oliva (Valencia province). He played central defender and most of his career at Valencia CF discoursed whose coaching staff became part after his retirement as a player.

After passing through the club in his hometown and in nearby Gandia joined the youth team Valencia CF. After a brief debut with the first team just turned twenty-one years later retired thirteen campaigns with record matches with Valencia CF to date a total of 323 shares.

It was a defense that remarkable for their class, technical quality, clarity of ideas to play the ball and a superb play that allowed positioning over three hundred games at first suffering a single expulsion.

After his retirement from active football joined the coaching staff to become coach che CD Mestalla. He also took the first team in three time points: in 1976 replacing Ciric in 1977 relieving Heriberto Herrera and 1982.

He died on August 31, 2008 in Valencia at the age of 73 in his hometown, Oliva.

He has been capped with the football team of Spain a total of two times. He made his debut against the selection of Austria football team in a match played on November 22, 1959 in Valencia where the Spanish team won by 6-3.
