Very talented player. He was one of the most promising argentinian striker when he was younger (he scored 5 goals in the historical 7-2 against Boca Juniors) and he was a member of the national team (15 matches 9 goals). After a great career in his country, he was sold to Villareal, where he did not play as the team expected so he was loaned to River Plate. In Argentina he returned to his standard but then he injured his knee and was forced to 6 months of rehabilitation. During the inactivity he was bouth by Genoa CFC but he was forced to have another surgery on the same knee and never touched the field since last year. Last season he was stilla recovering from the 2 knee surgeries but managed to regain a pretty good condition and was able to score 3 goals in 15 games being the backup CF to Marco Borriello.
This year he will be the starting CF.
He was a great player before the injury, but there are still some doubts about the possibility of a full recovery. Technically he is extraordinary good, his sense of scoring is still great and he know how to play fooball, but physically he is average and lacks of power.
