Yes he is, in fact in my opinion it's his best season up to date and rumors tell that he maybe gets transfered to a bigger club.

Good to hear. Would welcome him with open arms at Chelsea.

don`t think that he`ll go to a club in europe. More sure he`ll move to a bigger club in germany. Schalke is very interested in him. And some other clubs also, Poldi is a difficuilt character and at all, he was shit at bayern, ok now he`s older, but I`m definitely not sure if he can hold his level at another club

That's weird cause I read an article earlier today and he said that if he decides to leave Köln, he won't move to another German club but to a club outside Germany.

I think this is his best season of his life, maybe similar to the season in Köln when he becomes famous, but for me this one is better, because he is more mature, so that makes him more intelligent to play, make decisions, also his confident has a lot to do in here, etc.
Move to Chelsea? It sounds good for that team, he can be a really excellent substitute considering that Anelka, Malouda (and others) are leaving the team.

If you can get the Poldi of this season it will be a win for every team, no doubt. But I´ve still my doubts cause of the past.

sort of but he's a much bigger threat outside the box, nad he's a lot more physical player, can compete with defenders more

so arguably you could say van persie is a podolski B with more tech

Yeah might be but van Persie also has better positioning in the box and argubaly has a more lethal left foot.If podolski improves his positioning he will one of the best.Im pretty sure wenger will try to buy him because he can play smf in his formation when gervinho goes.

I have a thought, but i am not sure about it, so i bring it here to see what do you think. Well, i have noticed that this mainly this season Poldi have more freedom in the pitch, he is not limited only to the left side like others seasons, so for me that's the main reason of his spectacular half-season. He became a total attack player. I think i am not wrong about it, because during the last matches with the NT, he hadn't a good performance, it wasn't awful too, but for me the reason is that in NT he hasn't the freedom to move around the pitch that he has in FCKöln.
Well, with the paragraph above i wanted to reach, that maybe based on this half-season he is a good candidate to deserve the card free roaming. Thoughts?

I totally agree with Kruger13 as he often roams out of position to either find good shooting space or to assist.

I think the reason is just that Köln is under Solbakken a purely counterattacking team and Podolski is simply a very good counter player. The style just fits him perfectly. That's it.

The style fits them because they lack creativity and any players with the ability to impose them in a game excluding Podolski, realistically, if Koln realistically want to remain in the BuLi next year they won't sell him in January.

There are only ways the club has: either Podolski extends his contract or he leaves them in the summer, nothing else is going to happenn. And in my opinion he is not going to stay in Cologne, therefore he is definitely too good for them and it is time for him to make the next step forward, he is in the best age for a football player now.
