I can help you if you know well what way chelsea plays.

The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.

atm they play badly, they used to play a mix of quick direct football, with pressing in midfield and some patient build up play, some long balls up to drogba, cole playing like dani alves

I'll try and find something a bit better than that to describe chelsea

EDIT: http://www.justpes.com/chelsea-tactical ... eam-style/

and this http://www.justpes.com/category/leagues ... e/chelsea/

This might be worth a try

I personally think Mata plays as more as a AM in Chelsea's formation. He drops so deep at times.

Mata's role is way too flexible. He sometimes play as a winger, a false 9 and a maestro.

I noticed that myself in the analysis, disregarding their error, this is a good way to show how the team currently lines out, with Mata being more of an supporting striker than a winger and it shows the frequency of how often Danny cuts in. It also shows how playing Meireles as your deep lying player doesn't work.

So if Mata is a *SS does Sturridge play as a *WF or a *SS?

He always did that whilst playing for Valencia. He was hardly found in the left hand side of the pitch, especially the last season. Without Silva, he had to create and give passes in the center, leaving the whole left side for Mathieu or Alba.
