Athletic Abilities:
Physically rather weak even though he might be stronger than someone like Nene for instance, he rarely try to outmuscle other players anyway.
Very fast, he can keep his high speed on long distances, and his acceleration is also devastating on short distances.
Offensive abilities:
He's mainly a WF but can play as a CF thanks to his good offensive moves. His role is to be striking, and he does it very well. He's very offensive minded, makes a lot of runs towards goals(which results sometimes in many offsides) and reacts pretty fast to lost balls.
He's not a poacher but his moves around and in the box to break a defence, and his runs behind the defence are well timed and dreadful.
Shooting:
His striking of the ball is good, he is at ease when shooting on tight space, can do some good chip shots, but his accuracy lets him down. He's a sometimes too wasteful in front of goals.
Passing and Teamwork Abilities:
Decent short passer, although his passing is far from being his asset, he can indeed have some great link-up with his teammates.
Dribbling Abilities:
Along with his his speed, here is his asset. Gervinho rarely uses tricks but he moves his body with a great fluidity and smoothness, moreover his close control is quite tight and precise. Although his first touch is more erratic and can let him down sometimes. That's why he's particulary difficult to stop, last year he was the player who win the most of penalities i think in ligue1.
Him and Hazard on the flanks(although he is more and less an AMF)may be the best duo of WF in ligue1.
On left side, on right side and in the middle... I realy don't know where he actually play...
