Bruno Fernandes wasn't much of a name when he 1st arrived in Romania and was playing for smaller teams throughout his career before he made the important step to sign for uprising Unirea Urziceni. He soon managed to get the starting spot ahead of Mehmedovic and became a decent partner for George Galamaz as their defence became seemingly invulnerable. Thanks to this he even played the majority of games for Urziceni in the CL where he was also able to score in the famous away win to the Glasgow Rangers in their 1:4 away victory. I wouldn't consider him a superb defender by any means but he's quite solid in the air and gets rarely caught off guard at all. A very reliable above average CB for romanian standards.
