But they've got only 2 CBs and no back-up. They've sold Torrejon a few days ago, a stupid tranfer even if this tragedy didn't happen.

At the moment there's two CB in the first squad, Pareja and Roncaglia, but there's two very good CB's in the youth squad like Guillem Savall and Victor Ruiz. The team spend a lot of money this summer I think one of these two young and promising CB's will replace the great captain.

Who will be the next captain? Tamudo? David Garcia? :|
I'd personally put De la Peña, but problably he's too old.

I'm not sure about how midlefield will be... Xyder can help us sure. Which is/was the most usual formation on pre-season?

The first 11 against Bilbao was:

Kameni (GK)
Pillud (RB) Pareja (RCB) Roncaglia (LCB) D. García (LB)
Moises (DMF) Verdú (CMF)
Nakamura (RMF) Luis García (LMF)
Iván Alonso (SS)
Tamudo (CF)

But I'm not sure, 'cause De la Peña wasn't on the field and he will play in Verdú position, and Verdú can play on the side and as AMF and Pochettino believe so much in Verdú, so I think he will play...
Maybe versus Real Madrid we can give more ideas for the starting 11.

I know, but I think that Nakamura are in a higher step between the other, and here you find the default set-up, but I know that sometimes Nico can shot some free kick :)

I understood, Xyder :D and I think their tactics is
right side attack (Naka and Chica/Pillud)
left side attack (Luis Garcia and David Garcia)
swith side (Naka and Luis Garcia)
center attack (De la Pena makes play with Naka and Luis Garcia moving diagonal)
Espanyol seems to tend to play more passing football this season :geek:

Hello, this is my first post. I'm from Spain and I'm a club member of RCD Espanyol too. I'm going to notice some changes in players and tactics.
The eleven players that usually play without injuries are:

---------------------KAMENI (GK)
CHICA (RB) --FORLÍN (CB) --PAREJA (CB) --D. GARCIA (LB)
------------------M. HURTADO (DM)
---------------------------JAVI MÁRQUEZ (CM)
LUIS GARCIA (RMF) -----VERDÚ (AMF)-----CALLEJÓN (LMF)
---------------------OSVALDO(CF)

De la Peña will not play anymore this season because an operation.
Nakamura and Tamudo practically don't play never by Pochettino's decission.
Sorry for my English. I love this page. Thanks!!

Thanks tamudo23 (I love your nick, if you want I made a classic Tamudo, if you want remember his best days), I'm a Espanyol supporter too, welcome to our forum ;)

Well the formation that you see in the first post was made in the begging of the season, a lot of injuries and sanctions made that in the last times you can't know who will be in the starting 11, but your suggestion it's so good for the last matches. Javi Márquez it's an established member of the starting 11 with his great matches, but for example in the right sideback Roncaglia share a lot of minutes with Chica. And due to Moises injury Baena plays so much in his position, tomorrow against Madrid, Callejón can't play due to the "fear contract" (a player bid for Madrid can't play against Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu the first two years that player remains at the other club), so I wait a little bit more to update the formation, but your suggestion seems the best 11 that Espanyol can use nowadays :)

New tactics for Espanyol, with the collaboration of my friend Xyder! the Espanyol game plan is usually the 4-2-3-1, the doorman is a dilemma now, everyone hoped Kameni, but great performances from him are valiendo Cristian Alvarez to win the confidence of Pochettino and hobby, weapons team is the game for all the bands on the left wing with narrow streets, the right wing is to Luis Garcia but Mike likes to get more for the center and finish the plays, the defense is strong and forceful, if David Garcia plays his going forward are less than if you play Didac Vila, on the right side goes well, Javi Chica is more offensive than Pillud, midfield is for Moises Hurtado and the great Javier Marquez Javier Marquez is a danger with his shooting Moses is far and life insurance for their struggle and great placement in the attack, the new reference and confidence man is Osvaldo Pochettino, the Argentina forward is an example of strength, struggle, courage and sacrifice for the team during the 90 minutes, it is clumsy when it comes to define his goals are giving points to Espanyol.
