This makes no sense, what does Aggression have to do with anything other than how much a player goes forward, nothing to do with attacking intelligence. Read my post again and maybe you'll understand what I mean.

"with his Attack and Response would he not be the best winger in the world positionally? "

Positional intelligence is rated in attack and response, well at least it is for forwards.

Anyway, my point stands, compare, going by ladders, Kuyt to any other forward on the forum, he's 83, above Ribery, who's on 82. So get your head out of your ass and learn what punctuation is and capitalization is. You mong. Positionally (read that) he's worse than Malouda and Bale, I think. This is as a right mid though, as a CF he'd be better cos he can play there, but compared to right mids he's not the best in the world. He plays for liverpool like.

I agree with qwertyfinger. I've been thinking the same thing, as a CF a 82/83 is probably deserved but as a SMF.. I don't think so. Though I'm not sure on a exact number though as he is very effective. He scores like 14, 15 goals every season as a SMF. But I don't know how many of those are from 'normal goals' (as he's the first PK taker at Pool).
That said, I'd rate him in the 79-81 area.

I´d say 81 would be the perfect number. It´s a reasonable amount as a forward. With he´s MENT and AGG he would play like irl. He makes most goals of the rebound or penalties both as CF or SMF, so i think 81 would be enough.

Really? I always thought he was first choice as he's so great at taking them and maybe my memory is failing me but I think I have seen him take penalties with Gerrard on the field.

ya 81/82 would be ladder wise nice.

qwertyfinger wrote: Positionally (read that) he's worse than Malouda and Bale, I think.

worse than bale in positioning ? i don't think so . maybe equal to malouda !

there is no reason to take bale as an example.as he has no attacking intelligence.he just run hard .

on the other side malouda is great at attacking movement and linking up with team-mates.ya maybe equal to kuyt.

kuyt's attacking link up or movement is not that terrorize but his positioning sense and response is brilliant.specially in set pieces. this season his few goals proved that specially against manu that 2 goals was a superb display of his att+res(specially) . i can't imagine malouda or bale scoring like that in future !

also don't forget kuyt has high def and chasing back !!!

any way i didn't read it perfectly at first !!!

What you're all missing is that Kuyt is no way in hell a SMF.

we all know that, but as he's played SMF for the past 2 years week in week out we kinda have to have him as *SMF

I think its very much up for debate whether the wide players in a 4-2-3-1 are Wing Forwards or Side Midfielders to be honest.

really depends on how high the player plays on the pitch and their defensive input

Updated (raised his TS by a point as I was a bit harsh on him, he still has pretty good speed).

I know Kuyt is an determinated player and all that, but take a look at that number, He is currently on par with Puyol and over Gattuso! (wtf, why Gattuso is that low?), not saying he is not a leader when team is trailing, but he is just simply not on this level. If we are rating Mentality as it should (something I am not sure if we are, globally) I would go more for the 85 Konami gave him rather than a value +5 than his fellow man Steven.

-btw same would go for tevez-

I agree that his current value is too high but a 85 would probably be too low when comparing him to others on PSD (though I have him on the same value as Konami). Something like a 88 would be better for PSD standards I think.

His weak foot freq should be 1. He NEVER uses his left foot. Never, ever, ever. How can you be a pro footballer and never use your other foot? (sorry rant over. mad LFC supporter here) I also think we should drop his 1 touch play.(Messi yes, Kuyt no) The goals he scores and sets up never really come from 1 touch play. Its more that lofting cross he floats or a cut back pass etc. His touch is horrid at best.I think his DA should be lowered to 76 as well.

Not tryin to hate on Kuyt. But well, its the truth.

I agree with you DA, why give a player a value so close to a yellow when he never gets past a man? Agree with the rest as well.
