IMO Owen was always quick to respond to loose balls, and this area for me seems to be one of his best. Not as much reading play but reacting to situations, kinda like reflexes for a goalie. What about leaving the speed stats and updating response

In regards to technique and shot technique, I believe he isn't better than berbatov or lampard at this aspect.

He rarely misses the net when he takes a shot.. he's really a rare poacher nowadays, like Ruud. Power-wise 78 is perfect because he doesn't have strong shots but his shots are deadly accurate

Agree that his SA and ST should both be increased, SA> 90 and ST >88, i feel that 92 and 90 for SA and ST respectively is a bit too high

I'd go as far as giving him an 87 for Shot Accuracy, but I wouldn't increase his Shot Technique. Although there was a time where I also found the current value surprisingly low, almost all of his goals nowadays come from 1 on 1 situations where Accuracy is key to his success. Whilst he scores some very nice dinks over onrushing Goalkeepers and can certainly score from accute angles, he will scuff the occasional shot and is hardly one for the spectacular nowadays. An 84 is still a very decent value and will still allow him to pull of those types of shots

I think Dribble Accuracy and Speed could see slight increases but only by a point each. I actually think his speed stats are perfectly rated. He's not this good in the air anymore either. Not for me anyway. Whilst he is great at finishing with his head when given the oppurtunity, he's hardly the type to smash the ball into the top corner with his head ala Kenwyne Jones or Fernando Torres. I think an 84 would be better for him. Jump should be about 83/84 in my opinion.
Not sure about Response though if I'm honest. There's no doubt that his reactions are still super sharp even to this day, but I'd be wary of raising it. That's just me though.

Thats a fair point his heading does need to be decreased slightly. i must say although im not suggesting a increase now, his dribbling speed looked a lot quicker than 81 the other night when he raced away for his 1st goal

I think he needs an update. It's just unfair to assume that even if he was fit, he'd be this good on a regular basis. These still make him World Class and as good as he can be, he's definitely not that. He can still be a good impact player, but there's no way he's ever going to make the first eleven week in week out. Just thrown these together quickly to get some discussion going:

Think SS should be added and passing should be higher. He has played deeper at times this season and has spread the ball around quite well.

You think he's still that good Jez? I know he hasn't exactly been playing much because of injuries but he's still one of the best strikers in the league with that set (use him well and he's one of the deadliest strikers in Europe)..

i dont want to be against of new set but Owen is still one the best CFs in the world in Positioning and response to passes and balls in penalty area like Pippo...
every time Owen was in a game he was so great while he played few games...

Personally I think Response should be at least the same level as current chicarito because it's on his trademarks , so I think 87 would suit him
Maybe his SPA could be higher than usual Centerforward,cause he plays or had played a deeper role in Manu this season,therefore I suggest 74 as Spa.
Maybe we should keep his teamwork at 78 to implement his supporting role in the team nowadays.I do think that his Shotaccuracy is a little bit to high imo,with this he would be current leader of Shotaccuray ladder and with both scoring and 1-1 scoring would make him too deadly, 85 is enough for him.

Speed stats should not be decreased, if anyone watches ManUTD regularly you should remember the goal that he was through one on one with the keeper.
