Talented holding midfielder, Carrick has won over 10 caps for England at international level. He joined Manchester United in 2006 from West Ham and has played regular first team football since his arrival. During the 2007/08 season he made a good contribution in both domestic and UEFA Champions League competition despite his manager's rotation policy. Carrick has impressive vision, distribution and good positional sense.

from my point of view the new set is far more accurate than today.

Overrated. Just like Palombo. These passing stats need to be reworked.

Took Bosingwa right out of the game with that pass.

i think Crarrick now is like this:

its better give him Registered position DM or P02-Anchor Man

Att 70: punishment for this man to be better on attacks ;)

Def 75 : he is good one 1-on-1s and tackles and helping defenders

Res 83: little improvement to help him on cutting passes.

SPA 84 and LPA 83: his passing isnt good like before and very decreased specially on LP
LPS 84 : enough for this man

Men 78 : he isnt lazy like 75 and not that good to have 80 but need some point to go to battles by players on middle of pitch. 75 is too low.

Remove S02-Passer and P06-Pinpoint Passes: just if a player act usually like that card can get those not carrick

Honestly though, the passing suggestions definitely seem warranted, but I wouldn't agree to that value for Defence or that response value. I wouldn't say he's as hard worker as a 78 would make him be either, although, he's as good a worker as Gibson I probably overrated him in that apsect.

Agree with Paddy, Carrick is a useless player, he's bad in both attacking and defensive situations, I don't even know why he is still a Man UTD player.

Is there a reason he has DA 82? I dont think he has anything to get 80+ on his control while running with the ball so I feel he would be fine and more lifelike at a rating like 79/80.

82 for DA is totally deserved. watch his goal against QPR, last sunday, dec 18.

Updated with ballmer's set though I made some slight changes. Lowered STA to a 83 due to his style which really doesn't warrant a 84 and I switched SA and ST after Jez's comment.

I'd personally rather see him 1 point lower in Balance (a compromise considering the differing views we had in ballmers own thread), Short Pass Speed and Teamwork (thought this was actually agreed on?). On the other hand, I think Shot Power could be a point higher (not as important though). Also, you forgot to change his Aggression when you updated it so I've done that already ;)
