Going by the name of Brek, Dane Brekken Shea started out as a football player in high school and is one of the few MLS players to skip college football and go straight into the professional divisions through a Generation Adidas contract. In 2008, with just 17 years of age, he was picked up in the 2008 SuperDraft by FC Dallas, the Texan growing into a solid squad member in the next 3 seasons at the club.

The funky-haired Shea is Dallas' utility man, having played as a winger, full-back and midfielder on either side of the pitch as well as filling in as central defender and striker at times. He was also the first 90's kid to get a cap for the USMNT.

Some of these stats seem odd to me.

His main position is not a central midfielder. His main position should be WF or SM. He is very versatile. He actually played the first game of the season at Centerback..though it was a disaster.

I'd change the following as well.

Attack: 74 -he gets into good positions quite a bit-
Defense 69 is way too high. I would put him around 60 or so.
Balance: He's a beast. 84 minimum, maybe even higher.
Top Speed: Probably can go up a point or two. He covers quite a bit of ground with his long legs.
Response: Too high, he's only 21, his reading of the game is not at yellow level. I'd have him at 78 or so.
Dribble Speed: Probably raise it a point or two.
Short Pass Speed: 80 His passes are fast.
Shot Accuracy 73
Shot Power 85 Packs a hard shot.
Shot technique 76 He's a good striker of the ball..you gave him 1-touch ability after all.
Teamwork Doesn't deserve to be yellow. Would drop it to 78.

Condition 6
WFA He's good with both feet but not sure he is at 8 level. I'd probably give him 7 max, maybe 6. He's not as good as Robbie Rogers when it comes to both feet.

Agree with Ballack"s suggestions, as for WFA, 7 would fit, no under.
seems a candidate for Long Ranger, he always tries to shoot as i've seen from him.

Agree with long ranger.

I'd also remove box-to-box..

I'm going to update him.

Technique is a bit higher from my liking, I have him in 76-77 max. His touch was very workable in the matches I saw him...

maybe I'll post my base set for him (not 100% of all values though, so much time without watching the MLS)

His touch is pretty solid. 80 sounds about right, wouldn't go much lower.

Dribble Accuracy could probably be 80 as well. He's quite skillful. Especially for a guy of his size.

Hes got really nice close control... reminds me of paddy mr court at times, should be like 84 DA imo.

Pastore, don't you think you're being a bit generous with those suggestions?

He's very young and still playing in a mediocre league. When he plays against better players at NT level, he usually disappears.

He's very talented but those ratings are way too much until he proves himself.

I dunno about that but I agree that he is better than 80. I put him at 82 for now with technique/DA.

Yeah, what a young prospect he is, pretty much like him.

Tho, in the description you said "full-back and midfielder on either side of the pitch" but in the set, Side is only L....

What did you have in mind?

Also, I'm thinking a 1-2 point increase in dribble accuracy.

honestly, looking at the ladder he should switch with camilo in TS. He is at least an 86 TS, and Camilo is probably 83/84. His DS could go to 83/84 too though couldn't he? He is great at galloping runs, very dangerous.

If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

I'd increase his DA and Tech by 1/2 each, his close control and 1st touch are really something.

BTW, don't you think Form 6 is way excessive for him?
