I've rated Collins at Villa as an 83 in Defence and an 84 in Response and I'd certainly say you could find some similarities between the two players. What were you thinking of?

I'd go for 84 in both Defence and Response, putting him on par with Hangeland in those aspects looks fair to me.

Dawson has become a strong and reliable defender last season, certainly one of the best CB's in the Premier League. To be honest I didn't believe that he could be any good anymore, his previous two campaigns were quite poor.

I agree.

To be honest, the previous "not as good as Terry" argument didn't really convince me...

You should drop Juan from your comparison . He is overrated there and I think he will get a downgrade soon .

He's a much better long passer than this, he's among the best long passing CBs in the league. He can pull of some very impressive long passes, either to the wings or behind the defence, with very good pace. I was thinking LPA 78/79 LPS 79/80. TW could also come up by a point or two.
Thoughts?

Isn't his long passing better than is short game?

I'd go for 79 for his LPA and LPS and possibly lower his SPA and SPS a bit. His distribution is probably one of the best in the premier league for a centre back.
