Gianluca Zambrotta, Italian World Champion in 2006, one of the best full-back in the world. he played as right SM in Juventus for many years, until he was used as left SB, and because he plays very well in new position now he is a SB, both sides because his left foot isn't bad

I'm not disagreeing, but why are we lowering stamina? He's always looked to me someone with bundles of energy, someone who can run up and down the touchline non stop. I thought the current value reflected him well.

May I ask you if you have watched Zambrotta in his prime? Because the difference is clearly noticeable.

Back in his Juventus days, he'd constantly trash the sides with amazing forward runs; I remember a Champions League game in which he forced back his direct opponent from the 1st minute till the last second of extra time and never seemed to tire (take note this was in the middle of the Serie A season).

In some games, I have, and many others with me, gotten the impression he seems to tire a bit more easily. Instead of going all out and not even tiring in the last second of extra time, his breath seems gone for the majority of it after a good 92-93 minutes.

Actually, in his prime I would've given him about a 95 for stamina. I do agree that he tires more easily, but the majority of SB's are out of breath by 92-93minutes, especially ones who run around to the extent of Zambrotta. But again, everyone seems to agree to that value, so it's probably right.

Honestly i can't find a right value for his Stamina. Clearly 3-4 years ago was more outrageous on that side...But don't know if his Stamina should be a point under Stankevicius,or three point under Riise.....i've to make myself an idea...by thw way,also Jankulovski needs an adjustment,nowadays he's clearly not anymore in par with Vargas and Lichtsteiner.

I would like to tweak his speed stats; I'm thinkin about TS@83 and ACC@82, with DS down to 84. I didn't see any of his renowned gallop from a couple of a year and so, putting him on the same page as the other @86 seems unfair.

Attack: 72-73
he's not smart when attacking, and he never tries to get in the box to try a shot or a header goal.. he goes on the side, runs, and crosses. nothing beyond this. Cassani surely deserves 2-3 pts over him
Defence: 69-70
At 33 it's very easy to pass him, simply running or doing some easy tricks. He can stay on par with Cassani and 3-4 pts over Maggio, that never covers.
Stamina: 88 with Mentality 77
In WC 2010 we saw he tired very easily, especially against slovakia.. last minutes he was standing on the field without running.
Top speed: 83
no more the fast player he was some years ago.. he runs but he's not that effective
Acceleration: 81-82
Dribble speed: 83-84
86 is simply ridicolous 2 pts over biabany! how funny!! he can't stay on par with Maggio, there's too much distance between their DS.

He is a shadow of the player he were a couple of years ago. some suggesstions:

Attack 72 (Not the attacking threat going forward as he was in the past)
Defence 69 (Defensively he is not as strong as he used to be)
Stamina 88 (Hard judging this but i don't see him run up and down the flanks as much as he used to)
TS 81-82 (Prime Zambrotta was probably TS 85 Acc 84 but hes noticable slower now)
Acc 80

He's not a great threat going forward anymore and even defensively he'a worse than at his prime. He will still be among the better pure SB'S defensively in seria A with these numbers and there are many Sb's in Serie A deserving higher attacking numbers than Zambrotta at present.

Suggestions from an Ac Milan supporter. I watch Zambrotta play every week...

Zambrotta is no more the champion that he was. He still one of the best (and complete) italians SB, but Maggio and Antonini, for example, are now a better choices for that role in our national team.

- He can't run after younger forwards. Just look at the derbys when marking Pandev and Eto'o or the first match against Real Madrid in champion's league: anonymous performances. His MaxSp should lowered by 2-3 points...

- When dribbling, he became slower but not necessarily predictable: i suggest to decrease his DrSp by 2-3 points. DrAcc seems ok to me.

- His crosses still the best you can see in Serie A today. The levels of LPA and LPS should be increased. About 2-3 points.
