Mamadou Sakho is one of the hottest young players to have come out of France over the last few years. Currently at Paris St Germain, the versatile defender is wanted by a host of Europe's biggest clubs.

Mamadou Sakho has shown in recent months that even at the tender age of 19, he is more than capable of playing in the big leagues. One problem Sakho will experience is the fact that several other French left backs stand in his way to the national side, but he is beginning to show his class in the centre back role now for PSG too.

Sakho is strong, tall and very powerful in the tackle. Sakho began his career as a striker, and so operates with pace and aggression. Sakho has played for France's youth sides, and has gradually immersed himself into PSG's first-team line up. Valued by PSG in excess of £5 million already, do not be surprised if Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger makes a move for the talented youngster one day.

Sakho at the tender age of 19 also demonstrates incredible leadership skills, and an uncanny ability to control the whole defensive backline. In fact, Sakho already captained PSG's first team at last year. Sakho for sure is going to be one of the best young players in Europe if he gets the patience to grow.

A tad overrated on the defensive side of things but they look very good for one of the best young defenders. He's becoming an integral part of the first team this season and is already being named the next Thuram.

Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.

My suggestion for this thread is: put Paddy stats on first post, and so, discuss. Paddy's set can be even overrated, but is by miles better than first post one's.

I compared him with Johnny Evans of last year and his Value for Defense is warranted.

I think his Defensive rating should go up. Really impressive, covers well Armand and Tiéné. Also he is very sharp in his tackles, and make good interceptions.
Also really solid on the air.

Suggestions:

Defence: 82
Balance: 86
Response: 82
SPA: 73
SPS: 74
Condition: 7

I was going to post soon a global update about Sakho's stats(and also Lovren's stats) with better def(82 as you suggest), an higher res(i was even going for 84, i think he reacts as sharp as Rami, it's his positionning mistakes that let him down),etc.

Great update
But here is one suggestion to raise his jump
It is unfair to see his jumping ability is weaker than Diawara or even Heinze( both get 85)

Diawara and Heinze are both less tall than Sakho, but as good in aerial battles. That's why they have an higher jump.

Sakho is an excellant defender and one of the best in this league and I think he is better than Diawara In many aspects such as defence . It is clear that Mer conced goals in every match they play

Does anyone agree he can have Marking card?
BTW, in terms of positioning, I don't think Sakho is better than Lugano, although one point does not make much difference.
