Valdés is a good keeper. He has some problems in consistency but he is really good. His reflexes are incredibles, is why he deserves a god response. Good positioning and really one of the bests in 1vs1. His handling is medium nothing special. Probably he is not Casillas or Buffon, but in lots of good NT and good teams he will be the first keeper. He is a big team's keeper.

PD: Given has a 90 and is not really better in positioning than Valdés.

I disagree there, Given's positioning is fantastic. The only reason he concedes is because;
a) He is one of the least vocal keepers going and cannot organise his back-four and that's wholly a Team Work issue, in which he's been given a 69
b) The Newcastle defence is quite lax, it's impossible to be able to stop every shot that comes against him.

I think he's perfect for Barça. His speed, passes, 1v1 are great, it's very important when defence plays that high.

After I Played With Valdes In PES 2009 and After I saw him In many matches in the spanish league, I believe that 85 for his Keeper Skills Is weak as when i play against my brothers with real madrid or Man UTD they can score too many goals and the problem isn't my defence ! It is valdes ! he always punch the ball and never catch it !! i know that his response is great and that can be noticed ! punching the ball is good sometimes, but most of the time valdes punch it and they shoot again and ..... GOAL !! he also dont get up fast so he punch the ball again ! that is not like the real Valdes because if he was that weak in catching the ball, barcelona wouldn't be the 1st In the league !!

i believe that there are many people thinks the same and i want to suggest the Keeper Skills to be 87 or 88 and his Agility 84 so he can catch the ball more often !! and i hope you take my opinions under consideration !!

really u want put him on pair by VDS? and higher many other goalies?
about pounching ,i have that problem by VDS that he do that for weak shots specially for low heigh shots.

I've said the same about Valdes-Reina some months ago. I think that both of them are pretty similar, with the difference that Reina is more regular and a better penalty stopper as Valdes is better in 1-on-1 situations. I think that he should have:

DEF: 87 (he is slightly better than Reina here when he has a good game)
